First Drink

Can't remember what age but very young. Too young to be babysitting my sister but thats what I was doing. Got a mate down to my three-hour-free-gaff-bonanza and we raided my parents drinks cabinet.

They weren't big drinkers but liked to have a bit of everything so any requests could be taken care of.

We tried Gin: Foul. Vodka: Jesus it burns. Whiskey: What is this I don't even.. Bols: Wat? Sheridans: Black bit is foul but I could get used to the white bit. Baileys: Nah mate my ma drinks it. Then, before all the little sips of the others could hit, we found Malibu. It didn't taste like booze, and the back of the bottle recommended mixing half and half with milk for a refreshing drink, so thats what we did.

Spent the rest of the night outside my house with mugs full of Malibu and milk being laughed at/scolded by neighbours till my mam and dad came home.

7. Drank a full glass of Bacardi. Not pleasant.

Apart from that, 16, at a music festival. Massive amounts of beer, cider, weed and

alcopops. Quite the baptism of fire.

Me and a mate at age 14-15 drank a bottle of whiskey that we found in his parents liquor cabinet. The awning below the second floor window did not look pretty the morning after.

I was 13. I walked into a pub asked for a large bottle of bulmers and expected to be told to f**k off but I got served. Stood at the bar for about a minute letting on I was going to sit down and drink it, then panic set in and I grabbed the bottle and ran out the door.

I had a taster at 10 but was 15 or 17 before I had my first drink but a proper drink I was 18 really.

A few mates and I stole half a bottle of potin on a friends dad, needless to say we where all hammered and spent the day rolling around a feild we where about 11 or 12.

I started late, 17 or 18 I think. In a pub for the birthday of someone in my class and it was Smithwicks, which I still drink now. The start of a beautiful relationship.

3 pints of cider when I was 14, at a 21st and my neighbour sneaked them over to me as I sat in a corner. I was ****faced and left with baloons tied to me!

Bacardi Breezer on my 18th. I may have tried the odd sip of wine here and there before but I was never interested in drinking as a teen and am still fairly light on it now.

15 I think - my mum used to buy me bacardi breezers and I'd have one or two at home with her watching a film or something.

The first time I was drunk was on Tequila and I was 16 - I necked it from the bottle

I woke up the next day feeling completely normal. If I did that now I'd have my head in the toilet all of the next day. I didn't drink a huge amount before I was 18 (apart from that tequila night) - most nights where everyone else was drinking I'd be the sober one looking after them (there was a memorable night when the girls had gin for the first time, there was a lot of crying!)
