There's been so much doom and gloom on AH lately that I thought we could be doing with an 'ol thread about the good things we have in our little country.

I think we've a great wee island here. I love the Irish sense of humour and how we're allowed to take the piss out of each other but if a foreigner does it we get the pich forks and torches out. Makes me Lol anyway.

    Okay I'll start.

I love the beautiful coast we have. The Cliffs of Moher never fail to take my breath away.

Okay AH'ers what do y'all like about Ireland?

    Yeah...a happy person on AH......:)

I love that I live 5 mins drive from a beach with outstanding beauty. I love old irish pubs that have music in them any nite of the week. I love my country and having lived in london for ten years it was bliss to get back here. Love it...wild horses wont move me now....

You just can't beat floating on your boat. Fishing on a calm sunny evening on your favourite lake. The peace and quiet. Heaven!!

The potatoes, seriously. Ever had potatoes while abroad? They're horrible. There's a reason we eat so many and other places eat comparatively few, ours are ****ing delish.

Hmmm, I dunno about that- Bertie, Brian Cowen...

One of the best things about Ireland is our low crime rate. Not that you'd know we had such a thing reading the doom and gloom merchants in AH!
