Hope the OP has some luck finding him, chap deserves a medal,

also be great if it was caught on cctv, we could all see the scummers

getting their asses handed to them.

Fair play to him but the OP's description can't be fully right. You don't take a bad kicking on the ground and then overpower four people like this. Especially after a night out with drink on board. When you go down in a streetfight you usually go down hard, a good headbutt would put you out of action for a few minutes so imagine what kicks to the head and face do.

also de guys that looked out of the diner and went back in shud be ashamed of themselves!

And yet you seem to feel no shame for watching the whole thing and doing nothing?

Odd that. It's just the human reaction to violence, there is no point in judging those lads by a different standard when you yourself were feeling a bit nervous about the situation. :)

Being honest with you, i'd rather fight 4 lads who have no idea how to fight or what they are doing than one lad who does!

What is it with people in this thread berating a woman for not intervening against a group of men who had just attacked a woman?

I think it's more to do with the fact that said woman then turns around and berates others for doing the same thing, woman or not.

This man who fought off the scumbags wasn't a hero.

He is a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight if you will.

    I was thinking MirageMan

Maybe he blocked a few blows on the ground while thinking he shouldn't use his martial art on non trained people and then said feck it I'm going to get hurt and used his martial art/boxing training.

Reminds me of a video where a scummer picks on a guy in obvious drag on a stag night, that guy ended up being a Mixed Martial Artist.

I know everyone gets hung up on the lad in drag in that video but if you watch at about 30 seconds in, the first group of lads they attack, there is a dude in a white shirt giving them all kinds of slaps. Good footwork and head movement, a class moment where he slips a bunch and delivers a cracking right hook.

    Great TV that.

Is there not a Garda on duty 24hrs outside that embassy building on harcourt street? opposite Tripod?

hindsight is a wonderful thing, especially from the comfort of your living room but no one knows how they would act until they're in that position.

Copy the email address it gives you from the top bar and send it from your host account. If there's no email look at the mailto tag in the bottom left hand side bar when you roll over the link to send an email.. it should give the email address there.....

    Seriously.....

Just had a look at the site there sorry...

Actually they have a contact form on their site.. and give you this email.. Scifi.auditor@gmail.com

Here's the direct link to their site... http://www.ucd.ie/sfsoc/Contactus.html

Been on my knees in that situation few years ago being kicked and punched , hair pulled out at the roots. Adrenaline is an amazing thing , the animal survival instinct kicks in plus some people are just a lot stronger than they look. You find a gap in the crowd and use one of them for leverage.
