Many thanks for all the quick replies. She is trying hot water and liquid/soap as also suggested. She is replying to us via messenger that it seems to be having an effect. Hopefully a fully successful one.

Others can knock AH - but by god ye guys are great when it come to times like this.
    Ye are awesome. :)

Dude could she not call an ambulance if all else fails? Then the ambulance could take them straight hospital without her being worried about the neighbourhood.

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

Yea, will suggest that if she's not fully successful. She, living on her own with three other young kids as well, so you see getting them all dressed and lugging them with her at this time of the night is not easy to say the least.

So far thanks to the replies here (thanks again big time) she seems to be getting somewhere. :)

For future reference, tell your sis in law to use a local cab company. They'd pop to the shop but it would cost her the taxi fare too :)

Seeing as its Hackney, could she not just open the window and stick the kids arm out. Within 5 minutes someone would surely have nicked the superglue from their hand. simples.:D

Ouch. I did this to myself twice, and my Dad, (a geologist), poured farmer's petrol and warm water and sand from the playpen over me (I had it all over my body) to get rid of it. I remember it literally peeling away as he poured. Hopefully a similar method might help your relatives.

Sister in law last reported that she was having luck. She off-line now but last mentioned that she managed to get the glue tube unglued from his fingers and the others were loosening with the soap and water.
I think their mam is continuing with the unsticking process. :)

UPDATE: She just reported back that he is fine now. Happy days!

It's very scary for a kid in that sort of situation; as adults we take the term 'superglue' for granted but unforunately kids (once they have been superglued) take it to mean something very literal! Good to know he is still in one piece, anyway.

his fingers are unstuck and after the shock he's now fast asleep...ps...it was his older brothers fault for sticking his fingers together

    Good.

Acetone in nail polish remover worked for me in April when I got superglue on my hand (thankfully my fingers weren't glued together). Still required some effort to scrub it off though, stuff's a bitch, surprised soap and water did it tbh.

Sorry to just muscle in here but you do know that ambulances are for saving lives? Please do not bother the Emergency Services and their paramedics with such a relatively trivial issue. They have enough to deal with on a Saturday night -as does the hospital.
