    Ascot 2.30

    Ballesteros 1pt ew @ 50/1

Poor draw last time and got worked up before the start. Think He's better than a 50/1 shot here from a much better draw. Can't be sure he'll run but if he does it should be a vote of confidence.

    Ascot 3.05

    Sunday Bess 1pt ew @ 50/1 WH

been following this daughter of Deep Impact since debut last year. She's improved for stepping up in trip and this stiffer track will halp over the mile and a half. I'm loath to back her from a bad draw but 50/1 is tempting. She's quirky but has headgear now. Should out run her odds and improve on her current mark

    Ascot 3.45

Aaim To Prosper 1pt ew @ 80/1 StanJames

Backed him for the Ces last year and as he goes so well at Ascot all the time and his odds are massive I think its only the sensible decision to back him ew here. He'll stay and keep going long after the others have thrown in the towel and he had a couple of years off so there is still the possibility that he can find a big run in him. Big enough to take the Gold Cup? We'll see... Any rain will be a plus and his Ascot form reads 133235. The 5 came on GF.

    That's getting quite well backed.

Hopefully will go and do it, will handle the ground and stays all day unlike some in the line-up. This could turn into a real test and stamina could see him through... fingers crossed!

Did 1pt RFC Aaim To Prosper and Blue Bajan

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

    I give up.

Aaim To Prosper just isn't good enough - too slow for these. Blue Bajan probably too old and not good enough

I was looking at Right Step too but what put me off was last season was beaten by Beachfire, receiving 12 pounds, now gives him 2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,838 ✭✭✭Nulty

    Fair Point.

I'm hoping Right Step is a better horse and in better form than he was then.

I will be taking a big break from betting after this either way. I hope it goes well!

My 500 quid pretend bank has fizzled down to 20 quid. I don't know what's wrong with me lately. My position on the tipping leaderboard isn't too healthy either.
