    Dundalk 6.00

    Duff 1pt ew @ 13/2 VC

Never been out of the first 3 in on the AW barring a listed race last time when he finished 4th after making the running from stall 10 (wide). He's never post an RPR of lower than 103 on that surface and all those runs have come in listed races. He's a front runner and has got a sweet draw in 3 on a track where the draw is so important. Dandy Boy is a big danger but will have bigger targets and this is about as short a distance as he can go, not to mention he's posted out in stall 10. He's not won in 2 years but this is his first handicap on AW and he could very well get a win here. The Reaper is another to fear (pun intended) but he's out in stall 9, giving Duff the best conditions he could hope for with another prominant racer in the field.

Looking at Abergavenny for the Ces.

I will be so pissed if Abergavenny wins the Ces. I didn't think he'd get in after this race. Could have got him at 40/1 with 5 places at Bet365....Think he's best price 20s now but still tempted to have a nibble, if only to save me the heartache but his draw in 21 puts me off again.

Duff is back to land win number 9

    ...

A delighted Eddie Lynam said: "It is great to see him win again. He hadn't won in 2 years as age has caught up on him like the rest of us.

"He's hit the crossbar a few times. We're delighted to get the win as he is the most popular horse we've ever had.

"He is still able to shake a leg a bit and that was a fair race there.

"He loved the trouble in running and he knew where the winning post was.

"Last time at Doncaster (27 days back) he got hurt. We gave him four easy weeks and brought him back for this."

Ahh for ****s sake! that girl needs a helluva lot more experience before she's put in any Cesarewitch! Watch the race and see her blowing in the wind on Rising Wind. I know I can only blame myself for backing and apprentice/claimer but that horse could have finished 2nd easily with a better ride.
