nothing so boring as listening about people's dreams

Freud would probably have something to say about that.

I've had two sex dreams in my life -

In one I was shagging Mr. Bean and in the second I was shagging Tarzan.

Both partners were very enjoyable, as I remember :o

    I'm almost jealous.

I keep turning down men in my dreams, because I can't be unfaithful to my husband.

Depending on who I turned down, I sometimes wake up and want to slap myself for having denied myself :D

Had an episode of sleep paralysis after a holiday in ibiza last year. in a nutshell you wake up,know youre awake but your body wont move and your dreams become "real" i.e. you start hallucinating. terrifying. I was lying in my bed, couldnt move while i was seeing all these dark figures around me and the bed in a threatening manner.

nightmares are a piece of piss after going through that. roll on ibiza 2011......
Sleep paralysis is very much par for the course for me. I've been getting it since I was a teenager and it'd happen to me a few times a month. Completely terrifying at first, but you kinda learn to roll with it after a while. Never please by any means, though, and it tends to go into overdrive a few days after a heavy session.

One of the most whacked out sleep-related experiences happened to me after a week-long binge in Ibiza in 2009. I got in the door to an empty house, big cabbage head on me, threw my bags down, slapped on the telly and vegetated on the couch.

What happened over the next few hours was completely bizarre. My eyes would close, and I'd think I was performing a completely mundane task, only to snap awake a few seconds later and realise I was still glued to the couch. I'd be there counting the money I had left from the holiday, then my eyes would snap open and it'd transpire I was doing nothing of the sort. Up making a sandwich, then, bang - couchlock still in full effect. On the phone to my mate, chatting about the antics of the preceding week...nah, only buzzing. You're still lying there wrapped up in a blanket, watching reruns of Bear Grylls on Discovery Channel.

I basically spent the best part of a day lying there in a borderline catatonic state, believing I was going about my unextraordinary day-to-day activities, only to have my reality shattered on the minute, every minute. It was one of the most disorientating experiences of my life, and the best label I've been able to find thus far to describe the phenomena would be an extreme form of hypnagogia.

I'd say it wasn't worth it, but it totally was.

In the dream, I woke up in the middle of the night to find The Mask at the foot of my bed licking my feet. As if this wasn't weird enough, as I ran out of my room and downstairs into the kitchen I came across a range of popular cartoon characters, including Snap, Crackle and Pop, Yogi Bear and Scooby Doo wandering around having the lols together. Creepiest thing was Ned Flanders then walked past the window outside in the dark, caught my eye and waved with a pyschotic look on his face and backed away into the shadows. Never liked him in The Simpsons much after that

I dreamt once that I headbutted the priest from The Exorcist. I wont even go into the rest of the dream.

Just watched that David Bowie film "The Man Who Fell To Earth". Bloody strange, I shall be having more weird dreams tonight I think....

One dream I remember quite well was a dream about Vanessa Carlton.

She was playing a concert but wasn't playing at the piano( which for her is not the norm.), she was just standing up singing, I was one of the backing guitarists, which is a bit strange since I can't play :D I was doing a top job on guitar though . Vanessa suddenly walked off stage :(, I carried on playing guitar but then the mic went and I was trying to fix it :(

Anyway Vanessa came back on stage and was kind of upset, she told the crowd that she wasn't even going to play the concert as she was sick that morning, thanked everyone and left the stage  , I followed her off the stage, she was crying at this stage, I asked her what was wrong? crying she said to me, we must always stick together because.......... my alarm went off :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: Why does that always happen :(:(:(

I was in Paris on a night out and at the end of the night saw the Eiffel tower was on fire. Top bit of it fell off and I pinched it as a souvenir and next thing I'm in New York on the run from Interpol. woke up after that.

I have a recurring dream of standing on the gallows waiting to be hung, I wake in a cold sweat just as the trap door opens. Makes me wonder was I hung in a past life or something

Going back about 2 months ago I had the same dream every night for a week, that I'd awaken to a screaming baby in each arm. The last night I had the dream I awoke to 2 babies as usual but I couldn't stand their screaming and crying (this was not normal sounding, it was frickin demonic!) so i threw a child out the window :(

Those very dreams are the reason I've an appointment Monday morning to get a contraceptive implant. :o

Last night, Barrack Obama told me his plan to solve world hunger.

To jut get rid of the continent of Africa.

I tried to tell him it's not the best idea and his reply was "sure, t'will be grand lass."

    just a question,

Does anyone else have extremely vivid/lucid dreams of deceased relatives?

Both of my parents have passed away and with both I had extremely vivid dreams. My mam passed away last year so I still get them with her. I know im dreaming in the dream, we have a conversation (which is generally along the lines of me begging her to come back but she saying she cant and is happy where she is) and then it ends with me knowing I/she has to "go back", we say goodbye/hug etc and then I wake up. they can be nice in the sense they feel unbelievably real but extremely upsetting at the same time.I usually wake up in a state.

I dreamt i went out to talk to my mother in the garden and saw a flying disc way up in the blue sky which seemed to be descending. We ran in and turned on news and there was nothing on about it. I looked out our living room window and the disc was now 50 feet over the house and beaming lights onto the ground. I was terrified and woke up sharply drenched in sweat.
I went over to the curtains and pulled them open and the disc was there again.
I woke up (this time for real). Was very glad it was a dream as i was sort of consciously aware the first time i "woke" up that something was very wrong

I dream a good bit about my Dad who died last year. Mostly he is just hanging around in the background somewhere, I'm aware he is there, but don't speak to him, or even see his face. I might just see him from behind. I have had a few very vivid ones, two very unpleasant:(. But two beautiful ones, in which he has put his arm around me, and I've actually felt the weight of his arm on my shoulder. I've woken up smiling, and felt like I was almost with him for real:)

My scariest dream was when I was younger was a recurrent one-my dad had recently died and I used to dream of him standing outside a hotel where my mam worked, his face all blackened and drawn, just staring. Was the freakiest thing ever!! Didnt sleep for weeks for fear of seeing it. Image still imprinted on my brain. Was very real.

Recently I dreamt that my one of my chirpiest friends had commit suicide and I found him in a canal and got framed for his murder. The dream covered my trial and everything was absolutely mental!!
Im usually a very optimistic happy person but always have weird nightmares like these!

Standing on the roof of a building, singing down to a crowd of adoring fans with Barbara Streisand and Liza Minnelli, wearing witches outfits and stripy socks, and for the grand finale leaping from the roof and gently floating to the ground using our umbrellas like regular Mary Poppins!!!

It was so real, I checked was I wearing the socks when I woke up !! Mental :D

I take it your marching in that parade today.
