It's a long way away but myself, Jackyback and Brianderunner have a bet on next years Conn Ultra. I can't wait to see brain Blowing up just before the marathon mark :pac:

The chicken will likely try to back out of the bet this weekend though:

You'll have to go longer, 1 mile race or the like.

After Cork, Phoenix Park, we'll mark out a mile down furze rd and onto Ordnance Rd. Loser has to redo the mile in Claralara's heels!

Think my mouth has gotten me in trouble here again... with regard the one mile....

Think I will look for a time in July to give me a bit of time to get to an appropriate level...after all Meno has thousands of miles in his legs!

*Prayers that his youthful enthusiasm will get him through both these face offs!*

Are you saying your competitors are old???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 570 ✭✭✭Perkina3

Well I am 24.... What age are they....

One is 20 years older than me....

*Changes youthful enthusiasm to inexperience *

Age has nothing to do with it - if yer racing each other, all you have to do is stalk your opponent and finish ahead of them.

Tis all about the tactics and who's the smarter in a race situation

Ok following a conversation we had in the car on the way home today...Woddle challenged me to a head to head on the Rathfarnham 5km on the 25th of September with the target being who could go further under 20 minutes! :P

So I thought ok but I don't want to be the one to challenge him on this...But being how I am I can't wait for Woddle to issue the challenege so Woddle (Subject to me being in the country an not on holidays) I am calling you out for the 5km on rathfarnham ;););).

Let the smack talk begin!:rolleyes:
