I have no problem with them if they are small and discreet. But the majority I see are usually quite tacky.

I'm pretty certain I'd never get a tattoo myself but I have nothing against them.

    Tacky! 100% tacky.

Just wait until everything goes south and your skin gets wrinkly, that tattoo will get a whole new lease of life :pac:

I quite like them, have had desires my whole life to get them done but have yet to take the plunge. I have a general idea for a number of pieces I want but have yet to find the artist to do them or be at the right point to get them done.

I like some of the artistic or symbolic ones.
I hate pointless tattoos, like a heart on your hip or something for no reason.
Some of them are just pure tacky, like big gaudy brightly coloured flowers, or if someone is just covered head to toe with a million different tattoos.
So, it depends hugely on the appearance, creativity, symbolism, expertise, and general tastefulness.
    It is all subjective.

Oh and I don't have one.
I'm too much of a wuss to ever get one.

Tacky. Especially fat women with tattoos on their lower back and showing it off on a night out. That's just wrong for everyone involved.

Tattoos are a handy way of identifying Skangers.

They're not called Tramp Stamps for no reason.

They're not called Tramp Stamps for no reason.

I thought "tramp stamp" was a reference to a tattoo on the small of the back, normally used by morons?

    No they're Arse Antlers.

I really like them, I would have one if I wasn't so afraid of the pain. I also have a weakness for men with sleeve tattoos....

Dunno about tacky, but when I see Celtic, Tribal or any tatoos with writing, I instantly think "Knacker".

    Mine are cool.

It depends, if its on someone and looks like they literally picked it off the wall chart then it looks shít. Tribal design looks shít, typical wannabe tough guy design that one.

People who get tats that celebrities have are clearly morons, i remember seeing an absolute barge of a woman, about 50 years old, with a tat on the side of her hand similar to what that Cheryl Cole one has.

I dont have any but if I do ever, and I may, it will be of meaning, thats why I haven't got one yet, waiting for something inspirational and different :D

My sig is currently in pole position

I love the Celtic stuff i have to say, it makes a lot more sense to me as an Irish person to see that kind of thing getting tattooed on folk rather than elements of cultures they have no part of, like the thing for oriental characters meaning "strength" and stuff like that.

When i end up getting work done i would say most of my stuff will center around Celtic designs...no gold though...i ****ing hate gold.

Tattoos are tacky and IMO the mark of a knacker.

Tattoos always remind me of concentration camp inmates.

I like them. I understand some people hate them and that's ok. I've 3 myself, getting a 4th this coming weekend.

    Such a subjective question.

Totally depends on the tattoo and its location.

I love a deadly tattoo on someone, lame or tacky ones make me sick.

    I'd love a tattoo but I'm too indecisive. :o

I like them. Have two and open to a third if the right idea comes to mind. Also have a thing for men with tattoos.
Have seen a good few that scream tacky though.

I think the tacky ones are tacky, but I think the cool ones are cool!

I have 5. One of them is tacky. The rest are cool!

i have seven. they were a personal choice. tattoos are not to everyone's liking i get that. if you don't like them don't get one. simples.

what peeves me off more than anything are people's in the church my family go to. most of them are sound as a pound. one woman tho started in on a rant bout it sayin in the bible about not piercing ur flesh or tattooing it and telling me i was letting the devil in and whatnot. i turned round to her and was like whatever, you have your ears pierced but obvs that is not the same thing at all no!? when she realised she couldn't get to me she turned round to my mam who was beside me and started in on her, the whole 'how could you dare let your child get tattoos? why didn't you stop her?'!!! the mother was like 'eh she is 25 yrs old, a grown up, she can make her own decisions!!!'

I don't like them and most people I know with tattoos eventually regret them.

Most tattoos I see are like some crappy doodle you'd have done on your desk in school.

Depends on the tattoo and the person. Most I have seen in person were tacky. I don't get them. Like a design? Get a picture of it and hang it up on your wall.

I always thought of people with tatoos as having low self-esteem.
Why do we need to have our bodies painted ?
Knew a lad that had Tommy loves Laura on his arm but he was married to a Helen. Don't think she liked his tatoo either.
