Couldnt happen to a nicer guy.. Particularly the way he joked about the Master's defeat with Charl Schwartzel on the plane .

When i saw that gracious photo (when everyone was going on about him choking) you just knew this guy was a special talent.

It only really hit me during his interview that he is still only 22 years old... Makes his achievement all the more remarkable. Well played young man!!!

It seems only like yesterday that I watched him at Newcastle in the Walker Cup.........now he's arguably the hottest talent in golf.

I bet all of ye people who wrote him off saying "oh he's gona choke again", "oh he's gonna bottle it" are feeling like this right now..

Whatever about his talent (which is indisputable), the courage to come back from that awful day so quickly is incredible....

the way he handled himself after the Masters showed that most certainly he had the bottle and the ability to go on and win. It was the aftermath and how he handled it showed it

Great win for the lad and so soon after his Augusta melt down. Could've easily hampered his career for a few years but proved the doubters wrong with a classy win this week, so chuffed for him.

Did someone throw a tricolor at him on the way to the hut?

    /runs away.
Yes, and he got rid of it asap

Well I think security took it off his neck.

Being from where he is, will always be an issue that will follow him, but for me I don't care if he's Irish, British or bloody Martian.

We just witnessed a golf genius win the first of many majors in great style!

People like this don't come along that often in any sport!

Sure he's from the 32 counties, that'll do! Had a chuckle at the tricolour incident though, flaggate they'll call it
