I really want Rory to get another birdie - just to give him a shot in the bag so that if he has to take a 5 at the 18th he can still finish with a final round in the 60's.

I don't get it!! Michael Bannon taught me how to play golf as well.......so why am I still hacking about playing off 12 instead of leading the US Open by 8 shots? I want my money back!!

C'mon Rors, you're doing Holywood proud!!

I'm a newbie here LInksy :) and not gone to bed, lovely forum you guys have going on here :)
When the Masters was on earlier in the year, yours truly was glued to the TV and didn't check what was going on here and there were a truck load of posts and posters taking pleasure in watching McIlroy's misfortune and generally they fecked off and didn't bother to contribute, just happy to stir. Hence the need to have a heavy-handed warning about behaviour in place for this week (and the laptop on the lap tonight!). Thankfully it's nearly all good :)

Yeah, a few minutes ago we had ~500 active users... now it's ~400.
Whimps going to bed... inevitability about the outcome etc.

One this is for sure, if there were a hint of a meltdown we'd have 100s of fly-by-nights on here to stick in their oar.

A certain Mr. Bateman comes to mind!

Monty is such an unbelievable windbag.

I thought they'd never get back to the action out on the course.

no sign of them now to give credit where credit is due; unbelievable performance from Rory.

Could you look at putting in a membership requirement for such weekends in the future - pretty much how the football forum operates? It might make your life an awful lot easier.

i notice that people aren't that concened about harrington these days. I don't hear the default question when walking into a bar with golf on anymore !!

I know where you are coming from. But I am concerned for Harrington. I'm not going to repeat all that be questioned of him here but I want to see him return to the winners circle soon ( pretty soon).

Well I'd be a fly by night but I felt sorry for the lad that night. Said he'd comeback.

That he's back so quickly and the first major after it is truely remarkable, hence my presence. I thought it would be next year!

BBC said Lehman was the last golfer to lose a lead in a major on a final day and win the next one, was 1996 and it wasn't in anyway comparable.

Mad Men's Don Draper : What you call love was invented by guys like me, to sell nylons.

Clear example of lesson learned by McIlroy from the Masters, think it was the second hole that he went into a fairway bunker, and tried to play hard out of it, ended up hitting the lip - similar situation, he chips out to safety

I've said it for the last year now but the kid will be winning some Majors of his own. Gonna win me some E/W money barring an implosion!

Cracking shot from Yang... and Rory!

    Rafa Nadal

Another one from twitter re Sky coverage
If Monty was a footballer he'd be Jamie Redknapp. Won **** all of note but speaks smuggly about his sport as if he was an all time legend

Fantastic shot by Yang, as good a shot from McIlroy!
