    Calmness personified. Tiger?? Tiger who??

While I loved watching Tiger and I do think he brought something speical to the sport.

Rorys play in this tournement has shown that You dont need Tiger in the field to have great scores. HUGE attendance ect:)

My fiongers are crossed for Rory

Iron from the tee for Rory at 5 but pulls it into the bunker........bit of a mistake.

Looking at the scores this would be an incredibly close final day if it weren't for Rory, but at the minute he's making shyte of everyone else.

Mistake there from Rory but the way he's playing it's a minor speedbump.

Another long putt to save par for Rory.

Paddy bogeys the par 5 and down to 5 over now. At least he made the cut this week and got 4 rounds under his belt. Needs to kick on from this performance and get himself back into contention to win a tournament.

    Another great 2 putt :D

The organisers have hurled tradition in the bin in an attempt to make the tournament interesting. What happened to par being a good score at the US Open? A shame

His putting seems to have gone to a new level this week

Great put by Mcilroy, however I think it was a istake hitting the 3 iron off the tee, 3 wood would have been wine and made sure he cleared those bunkers

They were saying on NBC that he had changed a few things, like taking no practise strokes - putter is on fire tbh!

In fairness, there has been a lot of rain which has made the course somewhat easier than usual but there's not an amount of under-par scores... there's only a dozen players at -4 or better for close on 4 rounds. They're hardly eating it up (excluding Magic Man).

If Rory keeps this form up he is going to be offered some massive sponsorship deals(not that the ones he's already on aren't big)

Westwood dumps his 2nd in the water at the 6th.

Rory misses the fairway at 6........he'll have to layup.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,286 ✭✭✭ankles

I know it was going to play easier with the rain, but they have deliberately cut holes in birdieable spots hoping that someone would make some sort of charge before Rory went out. A shame. Wonder if TV money had a role.

can't believe rory is destroying this golf course. normally expect maybe -2 or something like this win the u.s open -16 and winning by ten shots was not something i was expecting.
