    No need to shout :) The very first post of this thread says "Whitelist requests will be needed again" which probably led people to believe that this was the thread for it.

    Does this mean that it'll be open to the public this evening ?

    Yes, but despite that first post, the Whitelist requests continue to flow... :)

    Anyway, we're looking likely for a start this evening, but that's not 100%. More news as I have it :)

    The server will be open tonight at 10pm "+Gmt" (Especially put in for our buddy Nim, state-side) :p

    Meanwhile feast your eyes on the top of the range "Boards.ie Test Facility" where the Admins and I have been testing (mostly Bland) all the nooks and crannies on this server.

    I've been busy mining, setting up shops, hunting and grilling pork :)

    The real trick about the iConomy stuff is that it won't work without you guys and gals using it. If you just start giving each other stuff then it's a pointless drain on the server's resources, but this implementation of it with the chests is a lot neater and cleaner than the previous server's "mysterious 10X10X3 shop that appears out of nowhere with potentially limitless stock" There will, I believe, be some Admin/Server run shops that will help at the start and the bounties on Mobs will help you earn money (adds a nice fun element to it I think - go be a hunter gatherer :)).

    Any shops located outside the shopping district will be removed in order to keep iConomy healthy. It's a good add-on... so people, please use it.

    I'll only take down those who have requested for themselves, anyone who said "Can you add my friend [playername]", that playername will not be added.

    Server's up 40 minutes.

    We're going with Teg's idea by the way. We're going to build a small outpost at the current spawn and then go scouting. Once we found a good area for the city, we'll plot the outlines and then relocate spawn to that area. The outpost will be destroyed.
