I am somewhat unfamiliar with the etiquette of multiplayer Minecraft, so sorry if these seem like silly questions

I'm still pretty new to Minecraft and not hugely interested in building a house in a town area. Still haven't exhausted the original "mine things" charm.

I kinda had designs on building and mining, etc, out in the wilderness. Is that ok or is there a whole bunch of planning and organization that I'm not aware of?

There are rules to building in the new town, but yeah you can go out as far as you like and build wherever but the sever does have borders due to the last server exploding cus it became too big

My place is not in the town, as long as your not on top of anyone else and you don't build a great huge monstrosity it shouldn't be a problem.

anywhere in the 'wilderness' is fine afaik, the boards server has a brand new map now so most people are helping out with a new spawn town. as long as ur not building or digging too close to someone elses projects then ur fine

You can pretty much build anywhere. The town in question has perks though; the ability to set up shops, its right near spawn, and all the buildings will have protection on them.

He's already a Boards.ie member but is always too busy with kid #5 (1 week old) to take the time to register. Mibecraft is my way of getting him to spend some time on himself.
