I tipped Scwartzel on boards before the masters and had him @ 90 to 1 :D

PP paying 6 places at the moment. Backed Donald 14/1 KJ 33/1 and outside bet of Manassero at 70/1. Had yang before the masters and was nearly tempted to back him again thought he was in with a shout there for a while just fell off the pace a bit!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

    Went with Rory McIlroy @ 18/1, Mannasero @ 70/1 and Byrd @ 80/1

Hunter Mahan for me @ 22/1 is a great bet! Has pretty decent recent major record with plenty of top 10s and has a great record at the Congressional.

Lucas Glover @ 60/1 for my outside bet then.

This time I'm going for Mickleson (12/1), Ogilvy (50/1) and Allenby (100/1).

Fiver each way on all three.

    Ogilvy is 80-1 with Ladbrokes

In last 4 PGA Tournaments played here winners were Garcia, Choi, Kim and Woods.

Furyk and Huntar Mahan have always finished well at this course as well so could be worth an each way bet.

Have done a few small e/ws on

    Quiros
    Poulter
    Fowler
    Laird
    Crane
    Dufner
    Simpson

Going to pick one from Phil, Kuchar, Mahan or Watney as my main bet. Still thinking but Watney is seriously tempting me.

    Rory McIlroy 23 €4.00 €88.00
    Bubba Watson 48 €4.00 €188.00
    Aaron Baddeley 110 €4.00 €436.00
    Rory Sabbatini 170 €4.00 €676.00

    betfair.......

lowry is 500/1 on betfair, if you think he's going to win, it sort of worth your while!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,916 ✭✭✭Ormus

    i've already laid my bets

don't wanna get involved in betfair as it would turn me into a regular gambler

i don't really think lowry will win, anyone who does is crazy, i just think he is unpredictable and 250/1 gives good value for the chance he will go on a birdie streak

Betfair is the way to go if your backing anything over 80/1 in some cases you get double or more for players with 150/1 in bookies.

Mcilroy..... furyk.......and i'm gonna have and each way bet on padraig.

McIlroy, great ball striker, got the distance, got the short game shots, but i do worry about his putting under pressure. But think he is in with a great chance

Furyk, ya always have to give this man respect in the us open, and if he is in with a shout on sunday....i'll be doubling up!!!

Poor old Padraig.....He looked very relaxed yesterday......thats the way i like him. and would much rather padraig with a put to win my money....then Mr McIlroy.

Can't wait.....really goin to enjoy all the coverage.

5 ew on Bubba and Snedeker.
2 ew on Edfors and Cekja.

and 2 ew on Lowry 1st round leader, since he's out first, probably on the tee box as I write. :)

    Enjoy

Ok so I'm on KJ and Paddy.

Had to back Paddy after what I said but very lightly. A couple of mis hit drives into the fairyway and he might have a chance :p

i spent 300 on it, 11 picks, book is as follows, if any of the following win, i collect as follows:

    Glover 2804
    Kuchar 1561
    Watson 1379
    Day 1200
    Ogilvy 1264
    Stricker 1084
    Gooson 1054
    Gay 964
    Cabrera 954
    Choi 904
    Mickelson 804

so a few running for me, europeans have dismal record in this (except last year obv) so mainly looking at some past champs and guys who imo have to be up there, ie Kuchar.
And Mickelson, has 5 top 5's in us opens on the east coast, u need a high ball flight and soft landing for this, and they saw a high draw, which is a high fade for mickelson and watson.
