Ooops. While I was dreaming of an A my grade may be tampered. What I wanted to know I knew perfectly. Too bad very little of it came up.. I'm just happy I don't listen to your predictions..

Short questions suprised me, I got only 12 done, but I know they're right.

    Being realistic I think it'll be a low B.

I thought that the short questions were unusually hard.

    that paper was ok :L
I looooved Q1-5, the pictures were easy, the documents also, the short questions were fine, and the people in history suited me well, a bit disappointed a painter or rev. leader didn't come up, I know soooooo much about durer and Washington lol

    however, **** you Q 6! -__-
I knew I would have to do A and D, cos i know **** all about Irish history,
but I forgot about the celts whan I revised :0 like, completely :( so all my answers to A are completely improvised, and that timeline thing in D really threw me off....
    good bye A :L

Q4 part b was horrible and I wrote a load of gick for 5c but q6 was ok so I'm happy enough.

Never have to do history againnnnnnn

So happy. Everything came up that I wanted. Learned off everything except international relations but I read a summary of it before going. I did Martin Luther as essay and Queen Elizabeth and munster plantations. I did 18 of the short questions and defo got 16 right, picture sources and q.5 simple..q.6 was great too :) that and business are the best papers I did so far!

Besides, how much do you write for people in History? I dd a page on Luther and page on Columbus.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 636 ✭✭✭anirishlad

I winged it a bit on q6 c knew absolutely nothing detailed about what the governments actually did

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19 AllisonB

I did 2 pages on Luther and a page and a half on plantations..id say a page is grand for what? 20 marks

Same, I did a page for both. I did Monk in a monastery and Ferdinand Magellan.

I think it went well overall, answered all the short questions.

Fairly ok paper but there were some tricky bits. Ordering the events in Q6D was a bit of a surprise for me. Wasn't really sure and made an educated guess. Anyone know the correct order?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 651 ✭✭✭Lucan Bohs

Did nearly 2 pages for monk and 1 and a half for Columbus

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 584 ✭✭✭rorrissey

OOoooh god. I screwed this one up anyway. :L

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,850 ✭✭✭Indiego

I did a page for each, but I have tiny writing (about 20 words per line) so id say I did about a page and a half :L
I did martin Luther and Christopher Columbus :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,601 ✭✭✭Desire.

Was grand after all. I was worried that I would get a C but I think I definitely got a B.

    Picture questions were hard. :o

Short questions too, struggled to answer ten. Did eleven in the end, some guesses. :o

People in History was grand. I did Martin Luther and Christopher Columbus. 37/40 I'd say. Nearly perfect but I said Columbus explored Guadeloupe or something because I've been watching them in the Gold Cup. :pac:

Question five was alright. I didn't know much about it and kind of guessed a lot but I thought I did well.

Question 6. Ancient Civilization FTW! Worried for awhile as I didn't know if I was getting Bronze Age and Celts mixed up. Thankfully, I didn't. Did Social Change then as well. It was grand.

Thank **** I wasn't relying on the International Relations question as I only know the Cuban Missile Crisis and it wasn't an option. Also, no short questions on that topic either?

Had a dream where i knew absolutely nothing the paper so i woke up and decided that i was going to drop to ordinary :p still thought ordinary was quite hard:o Least thats me finished with history

GOT MY PREDICTIONS SPOT ON :D

Predicted one of the Ancient Civilisation IN Ireland or Monk would come up. The Monk did! :)

Predicted one of the Coal miner or the guy in a political struggle would come up, the political struggle guy did :D

Studied the famine by heart for Question 5 and my coal-miner knowledge took me through the account :)

Question 6, I studied changes in Transport, Leisure and Women by heart. All of them came up. Tough pick to leave on of them out :D

Did the Berlin Blockade too :)

I also predicted Civil War would come up but didn't get the time to try that out ;)

    Done with bragging now :p

The Picture and Document questions were nearly all from your knowledge from the course! they usually have 2 questions from the picture or document.
Q6 was hard for me cos I only studied Political Developments and International Relations(stupid I know but theyre the only ones I understand) and they were both ****e

It's not even funny how bad i did in this. The only thing i knew 100% was the berlin blockade on the last question...

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,006 ✭✭✭P H A 7V T O M

Niiice! Defo got a B or higher on that:

    People in history
    Columbus
    Martin Luther

    Choices on QD

    20th Century Ireland
Ireland & independence (i forget its actual name)

People in history did 2 pages each and i have small handwriting. I needed to use an extra booklet at the end! Always a good sign.

Delighted. I studied the celts, and the Romans last night. They both came up! I did question 6 A and D.

For D, did anyone get the order right? I was glad the Berlin Blockade came up, as I had done alot of study on it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,355 ✭✭✭buyer95

Pretty sure my mark has regressed from the 83% I got in the pres. I was hoping I might sneak an a but that isnt happening because I ****ed up the picture question and international relations. Im almost certain I got a b, prob around 75% and I can hide behind the safety of that when the results come out. Im just glad that they dont release specific results... If they did my parent wound be asking serious question!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,390 ✭✭✭Doublechinlolz

    I done Luther & Colunbus, and for Q6 i done A & B.. Completley raped B Social Change :D.. Celts.. Not so much, i want an A. I need it :L

Any they spelt fulacht fiadh wrong (fulachta fiadh)

I really liked this paper, a lot of people said they found it quite hard though. I found pictures to be tricky enough, answered everything though! Thought the documents were grand, short questions were grand, I didn't find them any harder than normal. People in History was super, q5 was grand too, might have lost a few marks on the answers about sources. And I did 6C and 6D, and both went really well, I lost a mark for the first bit of 6D and The Cuban Missile Crisis was the Cold War Crisis I knew the best, but I managed the Berlin Blockade fairly well. :)

So yeah, I feel as good about that as I did after my mock, and I did pretty well in my mock, so I'm very happy with that. :)
