Been on boards 4 years or so, and in my last week here (going abroad) I find what would have probably have been the perfect forum for me!

So, I'll wish you all the best, you have a good mod here, hope your threads don't get overtaken by young wans who just have to post everywhere, and....

    enjoy!:)

edit: didn't notice Beruthiel was modding here too, I'm sure she'll be very good too!

You'll still be able to log in from abroad. What better way with keeping up to date with the news of Oul Oirland.

    That was 24 pages ago!

Well settled into my new home & way of life. Sitting in the garden, it's 21c, sunny, and ...winter! I should have a few days here & there now to catch up on life in the Auld Sod.
Had a bit of an old look around the forum & things seem to have settled down nicely:)
Hope everyone's well & enjoying life.

Ah for goodness sake Rube! What did you do that for? Boiled milk and toast for you for 24 hours.

Old Goat, I ain't finished with you and I think swinging the ban hammer is very unbecoming behaviour. You weren't poisoned anyway, Rube replaced the liquid paraffin with water. Only water, so get over it (as the young folk would say)

I'm on a day off tomorrow so I'll think of somepin...

prawn.. porn.. all a bit fishy to me

now what to cook for dinner.. hmmm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,692 ✭✭✭Alice1

Eeeeeugh - don't like fish at all!

How 'bout some good old fashioned bacon 'n ' cabbage for dinner? Should be soft enough for those with no teeth and is bit more flavoursome than steamed chicken...

BTW, don't tell Old Goat, but I found a bottle of his gin - hidden in the cupboard under the sink soooo I doctored it a wee bit.....

I need to buy new slippers - though I sadly regret me pink fluffies

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,551 ✭✭✭Rubecula

*With the thought of bacon and cabbage in his head the ever hungry young (ha) man runs to the shop and buys a pair of pink fluffy slippers for Alice, with long bunny ears on them ....size 12.*

Here you go Alice, mmm that smells nice what you got cooking?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭Ramette

    i bought you these :)
    [Embedded Image Removed]

i made flapjacks, ate half of them.. feel sick now! no dinner for me!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,692 ✭✭✭Alice1

Oooh nice slippers Ramette - size 5.5 I hope.

Rube, size 12 what do you mean size 12 *Ali gets very high pitched*
I'll have you know that my feet are small and dainty - not giant sized clod hoppers.

Now I'll do a few spuds to go with that bacon and cabbage.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭Ramette

    will there be parsley sauce?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,692 ✭✭✭Alice1

*Ali does the thinned lips look*

Indeed tis far from parsley sauce you were reared. You'll ate what you're gev

Anyway, this is boiled bacon - moist and tender an' needs none of yer fancy highfalutin' sauces.

    Hrrmph

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 26,899 ✭✭✭✭BBDBB

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭Ramette
