Teachers.

I work in customer relations and it's a running joke in our job that when we have a patronising, talk to us like we're sh*t/stupid or both type call, we check the occupation and 9 times out of ten, the person is a teacher. The retired ones are worse.

It's like they've learned a special tone of voice which immediately implies they know everything, you're an idiot and they refuse to acknowledge you might know more about your own job than they do. You hear it as soon as some of them open their mouth.

Must be all the years spent talking down to children.

Nurse's are wagons,the only people who seem to give a damn about you in hospitals are care assistants.

Most of the nurses I have come across in hospitals have been very nice and were very good at their job. Nursing it is an incredibly stressful profession so I'm not surprised that some nurses loose their cool occasionally.

IMO, you would want to be mad to work in an Irish hospital with all the cut backs and overcrowding. I recently had to take my five year old to A&E and it was a horrific experience, the place resembled a war zone. I couldn't imagine working in such a stressful environment day in day out.

Yeah it's pressure job but we all have deadlines and pressure so why are there so many bullies in the kitchen?

I don't know about HR being evil, but any of them that I've worked with have definitely been a bit...well...loolah.

Morticia (not her real name, but had a penchant for black clothing with long black hair) use to rock slowly back and forward. Used to get nauseous when she was in the room for an extended period of time.

Different place, different HR person, nicknamed Mental. Again, rocks back and forward, loved the phrase "Following SOP's" and "Can do attitude," but she's not allowed out in public, as she can't handle people. Gets a bit nervous when anything to do with a wage complain comes in. Tries to organise staff events, which are "packed with fun and games, for team building and bonding." These involve arsehole HR inspired games, which get in the way of the copious amounts of booze we want to consume to drown out the pain. Oh, and dear help you if you bring a member of the "public" who isn't involved with work. She'll watch them like a hawk to make sure that they do not eat a cocktail sausage or chicken wing.

Not evil in the true sense of the word but I have seen people deliberately sell customers the wrong piece of equipment/service JUST to get the commission and the customer off their phone so they can move on to the next customer sucker.

Sometimes these cases would come back to the salesperson and they would INTENTIONALLY throw the customer around the various company departments before having to eventually deal with the problem a few days down the line, it being down to their own recklessness and greed.

So I ask you, if you did that for a living day in day out could you honestly sleep at night?

People who set up fake charities and put black sacks through your letterbox asking for clothes, ostensibly to send to the poor and needy in developing countries, but really to sell on to rag merchants in Eastern Europe for profit.
Amoral barstards taking advantage of people's generous nature.

It means less donations then find their way to proper registered charities like Vincent De Paul or Oxfam. :mad:
