Basket loaf with nicely charred upper crust, mayo, hunks of Dubliner and some Branston. If there are tomatoes in the house put some in with salt, and white and black pepper.

I hope you tore the ham into little bits first, otherwise the first bite it will just come out all together and melt the bottom of your face right off!

Too many mentions of eggs as ingredients for these sandwiches. Eggs are smelly chicken periods from satan, they have no place in a sandwich.

My favourite sambo is my oh salad sandwich,it has the following,
    Tomato,
    Cheese,
    Beetroot,
    Diced peppers,
    Coleslaw,
    Cucumber,
    and thousand island dressing,
Also she doesn't 'butter' the bread she puts salad cream on it.
So thats my idea of a lovely sambo, even works well in the winter with a nice bowl of soup.

What kind of way do you eat your toasted sandwiches?!

Turkey, edam cheese, lettuce, mayo and mustard in white bread. Or a sausage on buttered brown bread. I have also recently discovered that a slice of ham and mayo on plain white makes a shockingly good sandwich.

Well firstly I never use a sandwich maker because it makes all the edges hard and horrible and leaves pockets of lava. George Foreman is the way to go. And if I'm using a slice of ham I will shred it up first so that when I bite it I don't pull out the whole thing in one go and have the perfect amount of ham in every bite.

But my point is, that never happens... I don't know what you're doing :p

It happened to me many, many times as a kid and I wish never to repeat the experience. Usually happens with cheap sliced ham that is chewy and rubbery.

A rasher Sambo has to be with red sauce. None of this bbq.
Apart from the obvious choice of rashers and bbq sauce,

BBQ sauce on a rasher sandwich!!:eek:,what has the world come too!!

My favourite sandwich would have to be a crispy bacon sambo with red or brown sauce :),and as someone said you can't beat the good old ham n cheese.
