Nope, you've misquoted me...I didn't say they were trying to make students gay.
I said they were promoting gay behaviour, risky sexual practices etc....there is a difference.
Ah yes, there it is again....that wonderful, all-encompassing word "homophobic".
    We are still waiting...

Name this secret group, seeing as you refuse to back-up anything else!

Apologies for misquoting you but it's still as absurd. Phobias apply to both fear and hatred. You seem to have a bit of both going on so I think it's fair given the context of what you're saying.

I'm not sure if this Illuminati style school may simply be saying that there's nothing wrong with being gay. But he simply has a need to embelish it to the best of his abilities. :D

When you post your bullschite and is unwilling to back it up - more like unable to - I suspect we will be waiting a VERY long time.

Please return when you decided to let us in on these state secrets!

I have neither fear nor hatred of gay people. Surely you are intelligent enough to comprehend the difference between hatred/fear and a disapproval of one's behaviour.

    Evidence please?

Yes yes, schools are recruiting new members for their gay army led by General David Norris, teaching them about risky sex and other ghastly sinful behaviour. Soon they will take over the world and we'll all be wearing pink and slapping each others bums etc.

Jesus Lapdancing Christ what a load of BS! Schools try to teach kids about accepting gay people and not to judge someone based on their sexuality. I know mine did. I've never heard of them "encouraging" homosexual behaviour or risky sexual acts. Unless someone has any evidence to back up these absurd claims (which I sincerily believe they can't) they can gtfo!

If there was an actual school that did this, the odds are someone would have lost their head on Joe Duffy about it by this point. They do go to Joe about literally any old ****e so it would have made it.

Thats like saying I hate David Norris and am afraid of him. Now THATs absurd, I simply don't want him to represent our country.

Can I ask why you disapprove of gay peoples behavior? And why don't you want David Norris as president? Just curious.

    Boatbuilder has NO evidence.

    He knows of no schools.
He can't even name any material.
He won't even name the supposed group/organisation involved for verification.
Then he disappears when someone asks to provide ANYTHING to back up his rubbish.

I'll leave others to judge the quality of his posts.
(I personally think - and he has yet to prove me different - he's a total bullschite artist that has been exposed!)

Did you really? That's mad, I dunno if I could do that. I find so much (not everything, now, he does make some good points) of what he says and stands for just so offensive to people I know and care about!

It's because he's so offensive that I added him as a friend.

I want to call him out on it when the time is right.

I just checked out his profile, wouldn't dream of adding him as a "friend" though. From what I've read his entire family are like that. I wonder do they have any direct links to Westboro Baptist Church, they seem to spread the same "anti gay" rhetoric.

Was Cathal O Searchaigh found guilty of something?

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Do you have proof that they are true?
I do. I interviewed Norris a few weeks ago and he said that he is the re-incarnation of Mohammed. I'd let you listen to the interview, but I can't find the tapes. It's 100% true though.

Did you pubish a profile of the man at the time of the interview outlining his claims of reincarnation? If you did your claim of 100% truth would be on steadier ground.
    Terry wrote: »
In the interview, he told me that he is against older men having sex with underage boys. Again, I can't find the tapes, so you'll just have to take my word for it..

Again you have to take into account that this article was published, what 9 years ago? This is not something we are hearing about for the very first time as if HLB is making it up off the top of her head about some remembered interview she did a decade odd ago. if it was I'd be saying the very same thing, without the tapes, then no go love.

You can argue all you want that maybe the quotes were taken out of context and a spin put on them. I can admit that, maybe they were. I can even accept the fact that maybe Norris did say those things, but didn't mean them the way they look when put down in black and white print, I am sure we've all said things that if read back to us in the cold light of day would make us cringe and wonder wtf was I doing.

However what you can't argue is that this whole thing has been pulled out of the ether of HLB's imagination as we have a contemporary source to go back to, the published interview, which, for whatever reason, was not dealt with legally at the time, the most common being Senator Norris has a heart of gold and wouldn't dream of being litigious.

What I find hilarious is this desperate rush of posters tripping over themselves to say how Norris has been set up because of "an extreme right wing agenda" in one instance, (ignoring the fact that the author of the piece was working side by side with Norris at the height of his social campaigning days, including IIRC on decriminalising homosexual acts). Are they not big enough and bold enough to admit that maybe Norris screwed up, but knows better now? Even the man himself can admit that ffs.

Is there the same surge of support for Berlusconi for example? Was there the same rallying of fans? Not that I've seen. Is it beyond the pale to question this phenomenon of some people (a select few) getting backed 100% no matter what almost sycophantically? When Enda Kenny made his infamous and stupid joke about some likely lad who died dans la guerre, there were journalists (and posters on boards) lining up with calls for him to resign, calling him names etc, there was none of this 'dig out the tapes or it didn't happen' nonsense.

That's all I'm questioning, not that he actually meant what he was reported to have said at the time. I can give the man the benefit of the doubt as he seems an alright sort, and going by what he has said since. If he had issues with the article at the time it should have been dealt with at the time, and not by way of another interview with another journo. What I am not going to do is buy into accusations of some orchestrated nine year long right-wing conspiracy..

Would never vote for him in a million years.

IMO the whole gay agenda is getting out of hand in this country and has changed from "gay education" to "gay promotion". One day, someone came up with the term "homophobic" and ever since, we've all been bashed into submission by being branded a homophobe if we voice our moral objections to choosing a gay lifestyle.
LGBT groups are now targeting primary and secondary schools, trying to get access to students under the guise of "equality and bullying training". In practice however, their agenda is to promote and encourage gay behaviour. Its a slippery slope!
Personally I class it like any other moral wrongdoing.... i.e. adultery, paeodphilia so I'm absolutely digusted at these groups targeting schools to promote gay lifestyles.
If David Norris becomes president, then we have literally sold our souls to the Devil.

That's some attitude. There is so much wrong with that post I don't know where to start.

The OP might have a change of mind now that they know that DN openly espoused the behaviour of that so called poet in Kathmandu. Human rights? Gimme a break Guv!

Since he didn't as far I can see support O'Searcaigh in anyway, merely calling for a more in depth enquiry so that the public got the whole truth, no I won't change my mind.

Calm down please and stop the silly name calling.

Black people are genetcially black, Chinese genetically Chinese. Gay people are not genetically gay, that is only your theory. So it is not racist/homophobic blah blah to disagree with gay lifestyles.

Research showing children twice as likely to be gay due to divorce......

Partly as we understand it for most people, but it's not definitive for all. There is also the possibility that some people are conditioned into certain attractions. That goes for all sexualities by the way.

Fair enough. I still believe for the most it isn't a choice.

Either way it is not something to be persecuted or critised for.

I'd vote for anyone other than this guy (if he decides to change his mind again), who only got elected as an MEP after thousands of GAA sheep voted him onto the EU gravy-train.
Kerry MEP Sean Kelly has ruled himself of running in the Irish Presidential election. The Kilcummin native and former GAA President had signalled his interest in running for the Aras for Fine Gael. Fellow MEP and party colleague Mairead Mc Guinness has also declared her interest in being put forward for the October election to replace outgoing President Mary McAleese. Former Taoiseach John Bruton has already ruled himself out following months of speculation that he would seek a nomination. Sean Kelly told Radio Kerry News he took the decision as he felt the Presidency was not for him at this time as he has only been in politics for two years and wants to stay in Europe and continue his work as an MEP.

I wouldnt mind if they had a problem with his views, but the whole site is just focusing on who he shags, not his achevments in politics.

Yes, he is guilty of sexually exploiting 16 yr old boys. He bought them stuff by way of grooming. He has admitted to that. He never said that he bedded young boys who were not privy to his sexual largesse. Next!

Yes it is and you know it is.

People don't choose their sexuality, they are born with it.

People are not genetically gay. If that was the case, nearly all the ancestors and nearly all the descendants of gay people would also be gay.

The evidence for this is overwhelming. Not only is there no gay gene, but why is it that homosexuality has survived natural selection when gay couples can't produce children? And if homosexuality was genetic, then everytime a set of twins is born if one is gay then the other would be, too, and that it not always the case.

Exactly because of that. There has been a seismic shift in developments. A lot of people had paid scant attention to his mutterings so long ago. In light of this his ideas need to be revisited before casting a vote in his favour.
