I don't consider myself to be an ignorant twat (thanks for that by the way!)

You obviously don't like what I believe, and have given what is now the standard response to even reasonable gay opposition in this country....... abuse, threats, namecalling.

Being gay has not been linked to genetics, thats just not true. It has however, been linked to a lot of different environmental factors. For example, children whose parents split up are twice as likely to be gay. The gay gene myth is simply baseless gay propaganda.

I actually do support David Norris's right to be gay, or anyone else for that matter. That doesn't mean that I "approve" of it or want it to be promoted or want him to represent the country.
Surely a person can disagree with something, yet respect a persons right to do as they wish. This is one thing that the gay community/followers is good at.... making you feel like a criminal for simply voicing your point of view.

But why would you oppose someone's sexuality, when it's causing no harm to you?
Being gay has NEVER EVER been concretely linked to genetics, thats rubbish and you know it. Simply baseless gay propaganda.

Ah yes, because all those men and women murdered and tortured in Iran and Afghanistan, and currently persecuted in Uganda, get their kicks on horrific abuse, and so "choose" to be gay...

Any other moronic, and self-evidently false, assertions for us?

However, you want to stop outreach groups to schools, which are trying to help gay youths avoid bullying and opression, as you think they're just trying to convert people to a way of thinking?

Tell me, what do you think of religion in schools?

What do I think of religion in schools? Most people can choose which school they go to...if you have a problem with religion, don't go to a church-run school.

very few and far between if you live in the countryside, which a massive amount of our population do...
    but that wasnt the question...

Because I believe it is a sinful way to live. Having said that, you can be gay if you want, no problem go ahead. I just disagree with it as a life choice.

...Being gay has NEVER EVER been concretely linked to genetics, thats rubbish and you know it. Simply baseless gay propaganda.

Being gay has ALSO NEVER EVER been concretely linked NOT to genetics.
...But hey, spin it as you want for your 'ideas'.

    1.
IMO the whole gay agenda is getting out of hand in this country and has changed from "gay education" to "gay promotion".
Show us the evidence - of what I consider to be an utter unfounded, stupid allegation!

    2.
One day, someone came up with the term "homophobic"...
Ok, it was me, I was bored last year. I'm so sorry!

    3.
...we've all been bashed into submission by being branded a homophobe if we voice our moral objections to choosing a gay lifestyle.

We have? I haven't! I feel left out.
I'm sorry again - I must have been left out of bashing session that day!

    4.
LGBT groups are now targeting primary and secondary schools, trying to get access to students under the guise of "equality and bullying training".

    LOL
When I stop laughing at this tripe, I bother to ask for ANY evidence to prove this further tripe! :pac:

    5.
In practice however, their agenda is to promote and encourage gay behaviour. Its a slippery slope!
LOL LOL LOL... I'm sorry... I'm still laughing! :pac:

    6.
...I'm absolutely disgusted at these groups targeting schools to promote gay lifestyles.
Where exactly? Please post example material supplied to one school (ANY SCHOOL!) that these groups have supplied to these schools - and please name the school(s).
I WILL contact it to verify it received it.

    7.
If David Norris becomes president, then we have literally sold our souls to the Devil.
    O' well - I'm schite scared now!

    P.S.
You don't choose a gay life style.
...Just as you don't choose to be a boy or a girl at conception either.
Your mind and body through (your gods - ironic!) naturally nature process and atomic/chemical level, evolves into the person your going to become.
Show me exactly where you choose to be a gay or lesbian - I want to go to that place and pick it up just so that I can read whats on the back of the box!

I'd say "Go get educated" but I suspect it would be wasted on you or fall on deaf ears if it clearly hasn't already!

Sorry, but it's true, you are an ignorant twat.
Reasonable gay opposition? Like what, reasonable racism, reasonable sexist etc. ?
There is nothing remotely reasonable about what you said. You compared homosexuality to paedophilia. Do you think black people are the equivalent to rapists, and Chinese people to murderers?
For example, children whose parents split up are twice as likely to be gay.
Do you have evidence of your ridiculous and idiotic statements?
    gay propaganda.
    Which is what, exactly?
I actually do support David Norris's right to be gay, or anyone else for that matter. That doesn't mean that I "approve" of it or want it to be promoted or want him to represent the country.
Why do you think he would 'promote' homosexuality if he were to become president?
making you feel like a criminal for simply voicing your point of view.
Your point of view is one that promotes the bullying of countless children who do not choose their sexuality. Bullying leads to suicide in a lot of cases.

Not exactly sure what you're asking but I'll have a stab at answering.....

Personally I don't have a problem with religion in schools because I do have a faith.....
however if some people don't want to go to a school with religion, thats fine.

what about a school that is specifically promoting RC traditions? say you live in an area with only one school, and that school is a RC primary school, communions, confirmations, the whole shebang, do you send your kid there? As you arent RC, are you not a little aggrieved that it is the only faith offered?

Because I believe it is a sinful way to live. Having said that, you can be gay if you want, no problem go ahead. I just disagree with it as a life choice.

Look, I have no problem with those who dislike homosexuality, so long as their dislike doesn't morph into persecution or discrimination.

However, I have a major problem with the idea that it's a lifestyle choice. And not because I'm pro-gay, but rather because it's a truly idiotic proposition, and I hate truly idiotic proposition. Any rational person looking at the hatred that gays suffer in many parts of the world, could only but conclude that their sexuality is not a choice. Why on earth would one suffer murder and torture and persecution if one could just choose not to? I suspect that this is lost on you because, like the loony creationists in America, who believe the world is a few thousand years old, you see and hear only what you wish to see and hear. It's pitiable to live in ignorance; it's infinitely more so to deliberately condemn oneself to such a state. Unlike gays, you actually have a choice- but you'd rather persist in your irrationality, which makes you a truly sad individual.

There isn't a single candidate I'd vote for. Not one of them have distuinguished themselves in any way whatsoever. Notions of entitlement every last one of them, completely undeserving of the office of President.

Calm down please and stop the silly name calling.

Black people are genetcially black, Chinese genetically Chinese. Gay people are not genetically gay, that is only your theory. So it is not racist/homophobic blah blah to disagree with gay lifestyles.

Research showing children twice as likely to be gay due to divorce......
Wells JE, McGee MA, Beautrais AL. 2010. Multiple Aspects of Sexual
Orientation: Prevalence and Sociodemographic Correlates in a New Zealand
National Survey. Archives of Sexual Behavior In press.
A recent New Zealand study shows that parental divorce
doubles the risk in children of later SSA. The same study showed,
however, that children of solo mothers were not affected.

Good question and very relevant as I am not from RC background.

Personally, no I wouldn't send my child there. I'd move to a different area if necessary. Wouldn't feel aggrieved really, its a big world and people are entitled to have RC-run schools if thats what they want.

Still waiting the evidence and the Irish schools involved!

    O' and another P.S.
While some claim that being gay is a choice, or that homosexuality can be cured, evidence is mounting that same-sex attraction is at least partly genetic and biologically based.

To test whether genes play a role, researchers have compared identical twins (in which all genes are shared) to fraternal twins (in which about 50 percent of genes are shared). A 2001 review of such twin studies reported that almost all found identical twins were significantly more likely to share a sexual orientation – that is, to be either both gay, or both straight – than fraternal twins, who are less genetically close. Such findings indicate that genes do factor into a person's orientation.

Other studies have found that biological effects, such as hormone exposure in the womb, can also play a role in shaping sexual orientation. And findings of physiological differences, such as different inner ear shapes between homosexual and heterosexual women, contribute to this idea.

"The results support the theory that differences in the central nervous system exist between homosexual and heterosexual individuals and that the differences are possibly related to early factors in brain development," said Sandra Witelson of McMaster University in Ontario, an author on the 1998 inner ear finding published in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

Show me where he endorsed it because he didn't.... Saying that he supports pedophilia does not make it true. The only thing he was endorsing was that he would have appreciated guidance from an older person due to general view of gay people in Ireland during the time when he was growing up.

I told you that theres no way I'm giving that information to you.
You'll just have to take my word for it.

One little snippet of the proposed course content for students is telling them that the male body is designed for anal sex. This is blatantly promoting and encouraging anal sex to suit some weird gay agenda. Not to mention that it is yet again (like the gay gene thing) totally incorrect. Do you need a link to a study showing the damaging effects of anal sex?

Interesting.... well its obviously a controversial issue and even experts disagree on it. I could give you a link to a similar article that that says that the "twins research" shows no genetic link.

    In fact.... http://www.mygenes.co.nz/PDFs/Ch10.pdf

Fine. PM the details to me or a MOD.
I or they will contact the school(s) involved to verify your allegations.

If your unable to back something up - expect to be called out on it - and you will be continuously until you produce the evidence to back up your claims.

Frankly I think your talking though your arse and have NOTHING to back up your claims.

PROVE ME WRONG PLEASE AND NAME THE IRISH SCHOOLS - THE MATERIAL INVOLVED AND THE GROUP SUPPLYING THEM.

Well, you did state in a previous post that Schools are secretly pushing a gay agenda in some strange effort to make students gay. You wouldn't think that they may in fact be simply educating them on how it's acceptable to be gay and not to feel unequal because of it. You also argued that it's sinful. You're not homophobic in the slightest you say?

He saw nothing wrong with this pervert buying food, bicycles etc for these 16 yr old boys whilst grooming them. Then eventually sexually exploiting them. Have you got a brother or cousin or nephew of that age? Is this the type of old goat that you'ld like to see in the Aras. Please let us know.

I don't feel any need to "prove you wrong" and never had any intention of providing you with evidence to back up my claims. You can take it at face value or not, thats up to you.

And with that, I'll agree to disagree with you, goodnight and god bless.
I apologise if I have upset anyone, that was really not my intention.:)

Fine, disappear and not even name the GROUP supposedly responsible, so they can be contacted for verification.
...Or is that a state secret too?

    I smell total bullschite
I suspect I'm not on my own!

Nope, you've misquoted me...I didn't say they were trying to make students gay.
I said they were promoting gay behaviour, risky sexual practices etc....there is a difference.
Ah yes, there it is again....that wonderful, all-encompassing word "homophobic".
