Words cannot say how shocked I was to hear this news.

I had known Roe for about 5 years. I will not try and describe how nice of a person she was because Jules seems to have already summed up her greatest points, but, needless to say, she was a sweet, caring individual. I will treasure the time I had with her. I had some great nights out with that girl :).

    RIP Roe.

Read about this this morning and this was what came out:

Jesus I have to say I've just gotten an awful shock. Roz was an ever-present in a couple of forums when I started to use Boards a lot. Had a lot of time for the girl. I didn't know her in real life but I can't imagine she was any different to her Boards personality.

The way I'd describe her is "always up". When others were having a crappy day, she'd come and just buzz the place into life. I don't know if I'm the only one who thought it but her username always put me in mind of that: buzzing around the place.

Haven't frequented the same forums that much the past year or so so I only now realise I hadn't seen her around here. This has come as a terrible shock and I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. It seems Boards was a very big part of her but she was a very big part of Boards.

Rest in peace Roz. Too soon.

It has been sad but lovely reading the various tributes today. At least She left a lasting impression on a lot of people in her short time here.

    Such sad news.

My heart really goes out to her friends and family. She came across as one really great, cool person, and she will be sorely missed in the Ladies lounge.

I never spoke to Rosabeez but her posts always brought a smile to my face. A young life lost far too soon.

RIP, my deepest condolences to her friends and family.

I didn't know Rozabeez but am genuinely shocked and saddened to hear of her passing at such a young tender age:(

My condolences to her family and friends and also my sympathies for the Boards users who would've know her well throughout this site:(

    RIP Rozabeez........

...for all of your kind comments. Rosabeez (aka Roisin Burke) was my beautiful baby sister. She was every part of what you all have described, and much, much more.
She sadly passed away after a very short illness on Gili Island, off Bali, Indonesia on Tuesday whilst on a break from her teaching post in Jakarta.

The outpouring of kind words, memories and stories on Boards and Facebook has been overwhelming and is a huge source of comfort to her family.

No funeral arrangements have been made yet as we are still unsure of when we will be able to get her back home. I will let you know when the details will be available.

    R.I.P Rosabeez

I remember Roe sending me a message once saying 'Get on MSN, we need to talk!' I asked what was up, she said 'Just get on MSN!'
    Me: "omg what's up"
Roe: 'What do you think of my hat!' *produces giant sombrero*

The first time I met Roe, was also the night she licked a guy's face and then told me I should go out with him.
I'm engaged to him now. Thank you Roe.

An utterly wonderful person, and the world was a much better place with her in it.

I didn't know Rozabeez personally (I'm new to boards) but it's too sad to read of such a young, obviously nice, person passing and not send condolences to her family, friends and my fellow boardsies who knew her. May she rest in peace.

I can't say I knew Rozabeez, but my god did I respect her. Possibly the only direct contact I had with her was when I got a PM from her a few years ago, someone was being utterly ridiculous on the Creative Writing board and her point was so succinct and just so spot on - I really appreciated it. She struck me as the kind of person who couldn't be contained or restricted, just essentially cool, genuine and likeable.

I sympathise with anyone who did know her, because it sounds like you've all lost someone genuinely irreplaceable. My heart goes out to her family and friends, she'll be remembered fondly by people to whom she was a virtual stranger so I can't imagine what you're all going through.

I didn't know her, but my condolences to her family and her friends. It sounds like she was one amazing girl and I wish I'd gotten the chance to know her from what everyone has written.

    Dear Roz,

I'm wearing my brightest red lipstick in your honour, even though I'm in work. :D

It cheers me up, I wore it Tuesday because I was having a bad day and then I heard about you my lovely girl.

So I'm done saving it for special occasions and am instead wearing it on a daily basis because life is just too damned short. You've taught me that.

    I miss you flower.

Heard about this yesterday. I can't believe it. I feel so sad that such a beautiful, kind person was taken away so soon. Have known her since I joined boards at the ripe old age of 16 - so 6 years ago. I'll never forget how kind and supportive she was, telling me she was there for me to talk to, when I lost my mum and my whole life seemed to be falling down.

She was an amazing girl and will be sorely missed.
Thoughts are with her friends and family.

Roisin was a kind, sweet girl with the loveliest manner. I can't imagine the pain her family are feeling right now. Our thoughts & prayers are with you. I am in total shock, how unfairly short her life was. I hope her mum & sister can find the strength to cope with this terrible loss. Rest in Peace.

Just reading about Rozabeez's untimely passing there now. How terrible that someone so young can be taken away. I didnt know Rozabeez but having been a member of boards for the past 6 years I have read and followed her posts. She seemed like a really lovely, bubbly person who was admired by many. My condolences to her family and friends.

God,I only saw this thread now and am so shocked. Didn't know her personally but I often read her posts and quoted them etc in agreement. Smart and funny girl, always hit the nail on the head.
My thoughts and condolences are with her family and friends, hopefully they can bring her home soon. RIP Roz xxx

I didn't know her, but I knew her and her Jean Harlow avatar from around Boards. She seemed like a lovely, fun, bubbly person and was always very welcoming to people who weren't part of the Boards cliques. 21 is too young for anyone to go, my sympathies are with her family and her many friends x

I just found out about Roe today.

I first met her at a beer's in doran's a couple of years back, Genuinely one of the funniest, kindest, coolest girls i ever met.

We had a prank call war for nearly a year, even when she moved away i'd get the random call from her at 3 or so in the morning.

my thoughts are with her family and close friends... she was a gem.

    R.I.P Roe

My sincere sympathies to all who knew her. She seems to have been an amazing young woman, and she had a hugely positive affect on people.

I never knew her but it is very tragic when someone dies very young when they have their whole life ahead of them. My fiance lost one of his sons in a tragic accident 4 years ago.

I hope she is gone to a better place. RIP.

I've had quite a few pleasant, fun, drunken and/or interesting conversations and encounters with Roz both on and offline, I'm still gobsmacked she's gone and my deepest condolences go back to her family, friends and community back home, such a tragic loss :'(
