Got a case and screen protector today , do you find the screen protector makes it very grainy? Mine so bad that I'm thinking of taking it off!

Apologies if this has been covered already but search returns nothing!

How to get proper MMS settings for an OSF on o2? We have two OSFs on o2, both unlocked/SwedishSpringed at the same time; my bf's phone sends and receives properly sized MMSs while mine only receives blurry miniatures. Also when a friend send me an MMS from her iPhone it was flagged as "legacy MMS" and not displayed. Any easy cure for this?

I think CM supports iOS texts better or something

Also has MMS user agent options

So I'm trying to update to Swedish Spring but I've run into a small issue when installing clockwork recovery.
    I am here :

Basically I got that error message so I rerooted the phone and followed the steps to open Recovery Manager. It says in the instructions there should be a "clear data" option but there's just "clear cache" and "uninstall application data". So I've been hit by a case of the "what to do?"s. Which do I click?

It's probably a simple thing but I'm really eager not to screw it up so I am asking the experts. Thanks for any help.

Hello I'm having the same trouble with the process too.. I'm pretty sure I'm following the guide correctly but I'm afraid of bricking it incase I do something wrong.. can somebody please help ?:)

I have this one (only in clear from here) and it's very good indeed. It covers what it's supposed to cover but you still have good hard key access and you can type comfortably (some more foamy ones have tall ridges and you can't hit keys on the far sides of the keyoboard properly). Looks very neutral too.

What I've also just noticed today when I was getting a lot of texts was theres no flashing leds on phone to alert you of texts received or missed calls

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,676 ✭✭✭strandroad

There's an app for it in the Market, it's call FlashNotify (IIRC). But the leds are so small that it doesn't really make any difference in daylight.

I'm on Swedish Spring - does anyone know how to change back to the android keyboard? I changed to the HTC mod by going into the settings when i has the android keyboard open and now i can't find a way back to the regular one.

No way to select it in Keyboard and Language settings either as far as i can see.

Another issue i'm having is the battery. I'm coming from the Modaco custom ROM and am finding this a huge change. I am barely getting a day out of it. Went to bed last night with the phone on 25% and it was dead when i got up this morning.

Well....I ditched Cyanogen. Pain in my tits with the battery drain issue that they claim doesn't exist but has come and gone since nightly 7. Went to Swedish spring and immediately went from having to charge every day to getting near 3 days out of it. 22% in airplane mode overnight to 0% in airplane mode overnight.

I must admit I miss some of the 2.3 features, but I'm sucking that up.

When in Settings/Applications/Manage Apps check under All Tab.

    Scroll down to Rom Manager.

You should see this, or something similar:

I don't have battery drain issues on CM... leaving wifi on?

Jesus, I'm finding the battery life on the SF very bad. I'd charge it in the morning and would have to charge it again 3-4pm again. I don't leave on the wifi on or anything like that. Just making a few phone calls, texts and checking email/facebook/twitter every couple of hours or so.

I've charged it to 100% and did the wipe battery stats and charged it back up again but didn't make any difference.

Yup thank you very much for your help,it's been much appreciated:)
I have Swedish Spring up and running now,it was easier than I thought in the end. So far,so delighted:)

Two questions left, is my phone now rooted or should I set about rooting it?
    Is z4root good for this?
    Thank you again!:)

Anybody else using the ZTE blade on three? I having a lot of trouble getting 3g as the phone seems to be roaming on vodafone 2g all the time. Have network selection set to automatic. SOmetimes when i know i'm in an area which should have 3g reception I have to manually switch networks. Just wondering has anybody got the same problem? My friend is asking about it in the three forum, but I'm trying to ascertain if it's the ZTE that's the prob, or just three!?
