Can a scar grow inside and onto the gutts of a woman? ?

Now what do you think on this one? Is there a possibility on the truth of the story or do you think she is talking b****x?

My friend (24) says alledgedly some old scars (She had her appendix removed when she was roundabout 4 years old and hernia as kid aswell) on her belly grown inside attached to her gutts and make it painful for her as she's 5 months pregnant (Painful scars might well be possible, but I read several articles and comments of women online and some tight bandage helps lots of women to ease the pain.) Plus I think a doctor would have plenty of advice on that one. I heard, that scars can hurt on expanding belly skin, but never heard of a scar actually grown INSIDE and CONNECTED TO HER GUTTS since the scar is on the skin and even the flesh will heal and grow back into place, keeping gutts and skin apart. I am no medical expert, but maybe someone here has some knowledge whether a scar can in fact grow this way she claims.

She says she could have the scar fixed, but it would be dangerous for her own life. I think she might be telling a story, just a convinient reason to get rid of the baby. (I'm sure no sane doctor who wants to keep on working as such would do such procedure 5 months on, unless there was serious danger for wither mother or baby - if in fact she was indeed preggers. BTW She wore wide clothes of lately to hide it, so I haven't really seen a belly)

I don't think a scar that is normally superficially located on the skin would not endager a "woman's" (immature girl in this case) life if it got fixed.

I am insecure whether to believe this or not, since she has told stories before. It's a real pity for a friendship not being able to trust a friend to tell the truth.

Hi, I think the technical term for what your friend has is abdominal adhesions http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adhesion_%28medicine%29. They can occur after emergency/traumatic caesarean sections as well. Hope that helps.

Picture if you cut the tops of two fingers off, and then bound the fingers together for the entire time of healing - the skin could grow back across both.

I have adhesions (from different surgery), which can be very painful at times, nothing to do with pregnancy. In my case I could have an operation to sort it out - it wouldn't put my life at risk, but success can't be guaranteed, and as they don't affect my life on a daily basis, I can't be bothered.

Cheers, yes wiyth the fingers this would be common sense. I just wasn't sure if this would be dangerous if she had it fixed. Now she is 5 months on and doesn;t want a baby so this condition comes in handy to get rid of a baby, which she concieved cuz she and her bf are too stupid to use contraception (or too often too drunk to make sure they do so). They want the fun, but no responsibility...very poor!
