yeah nice gaff alright - thing is though, it looks and is furnished like a squat on the inside!! seriously, you'd think if you could afford castle you'd actually be bothered putting in some nice gear!
Looks fairly in keeping to me TBH. Looks the way it probably would have looked back in the day. The "common" country house would be sparsely enough furnished. Big rooms and all that. T'would be nice to have a gaff that size and furnish each room to a certain period. Late medieval italian bedroom, Jacobean hall, high Georgian drawing room, maybe full on Rococo in another room and art deco(the French, not American) in another. Build up a worthy collection of such stuff and throw in some art and collectables of interest and worth while you're at it. Then leave the lot in your will to the state. It's how a lot of museum collections got started. Sadly deep wallets required. Lucky I'm broke. As it is I'm a magpie. :D
I'd have to save up 3723 dole payments to be able to afford that, or alternatively find 3723 boardsie members who are unemployed go shares with me. Maybe we could make it a festival/campsite/youthostel kind of thing.
    Like your thinking. :D

Me I'd be buying an actual castle/keep, not a georgian revival one. Something like http://www.viviun.com/AD-135597/ Massive walls, small windows so easier to heat. Easier upkeep too. Less delicate materials. They come up a fair bit.
Have a look at my pictures: http://pix.ie/the-syco/album/349810 - same sort of house. Best of luck bringing anything up those stairs :P It's a sturdy house built to last, but putting cable through walls would involve a fairly lot of drilling!

    2800 ordinary shares @ 250euro each = 700k

It's listed for 695k, was 1.3m not long ago, includes a tennis court and would probably go for less. I like your thinking too. I'm in if we can use it for festivals / parties :D Drum up more investors.... preferably upcoming DJs / musicians then the music is already sorted and they've a place to launch their music careers

Now you've 3. Start a thread and see how long it takes to get the other 2797
