To be honest I think it is about time we started thinking more positively. This country far too fond of this 'woe is us' crap.

We never going to make things better if we spend our time feeling sorry for ourselves and begrudging every positive thing that happens.

It's nice, but a little too long.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    Lol.

Tbh I think we need to start thinking 'Yes We Can' instead of the usual 'No We Can't And We Never Will'.

A lot of negative neddies around here.

Mr.O'Bama and Roger Rabbitte are just trying to instil a positive attitude on us, whether it be "is feidir linn", "i.m.fooked" or "we've got our lipstick on", it's just an attempt to restore some national pride and remove the total negative attitude and outlook that we've been clouded with lately.

Look at all the negative threads on here, You dont half see many praising stuff.

Im jumping on this positive attitude bandwagon anyways. Sick of negativity.

And if you disagree, dont worry the gloom and doom will be back soon.

There you go. We will forget about this sojourn. Then we'll all have our lives to go back to.

In all fairness a lot of people seem to panic when the country gets a lift and starts smiling for while.

I was under the impression that "Careful Now" and "Down With That Sort of Thing" were our national mottoes?

Mr Rabbitte described the last week in Ireland as "extraordinary", hailing the visits of Queen Elizabeth II and US President Barack Obama as huge successes.

He's come along way from attending communist get togethers in Havana.*

Yeah, where are the anti-Irish brigade now? First the Queen with "A hUachtaráin agus a chairde" and now Obama with even more Irish "Tá áthas orm a bheith in Éirinn - Is féidir linn - a chairde".

Does this not make your blood boil? :D
