I ask because I genuinely don't know myself if its all a con, if some are of decent quality or is it all a capitalist plot to rob us!
(I wonder if I barrel rainwater, can I sell it?)

If anyone has any info or thoughts, I look forwards to relishing in them in my thirst for further awareness. :D

Carbonated mineral water ('agua con gas') is so different from regular tap water that I don't even think of them as the same thing. It's a good alternative to soda if you want something cold and fizzy when the weather is warm. Vichy Catalan is lovely and isn't terribly expensive - it's cheaper than soda and has a bit of flavor and bite to it.

That's it ladies, you can now throw away the facial Pollyfiller! :D

You can buy it in dunnes, I had a few bottles of it before, It does taste nice and theres usually silt in the end of the bottle.I saw a documentary about it a few years back.

I was involved in a major supermarket setup in the NE at one stage.
There was a local water supplier that all the locals kept asking for, but we didn't stock it.
A buyer for my company was in store one day so I asked him why we didn't stock this local product as customers were always asking for it.
He responded that they had visited the plant with a view to getting them on board, but the conditions there were so bad he wouldn't give it to his dog.
BTW, there is plenty of evidence of high levels of faecal contamination in bottled waters around the country.
Why people don't buy home filters and bottle their own water for work etc always boggles me. They obviously haven't been hit by the recession yet.
Petrol is cheaper than water FFS!

Always thought it funny how people order bottled water in a pub... and then ask for ice.

Our tap water tastes like mould with a hint of bleach. It's vile, even with MiWadi in it it's barely drinkable. I never drink it unless I really have to.

Evian is beautiful, why would you hate something beautiful??

What you wanna hate is Volvic, now there is some muck water.

Just came back from that part of France. Volvic is big there. The taste you get is probably because its from a volcanic region hence volvic

If you fill the bath in my house, before you add any soaps or whatever, you can smell chlorine. Friends have said the same. It tastes woeful too.

Water jug and filter very necessary.

Eh, no - Guinnes is now a Diageo product while Beamish orignally came from Beamish & Crawford brewery in Cork, now ownd by Heineken Ireland.

EDIT: I meant company in the first post not country - will edit this one to highlight my mistake.

If you notice with the chlorine, the water filled into a glass will settle quite like guinness if left for a few moments and will then become clear. The chlorine actually goes off into the air once the water exits the pressurised system and at that stage has done its job of keeping the water safe for comsumption.

So if chlorine is your only problem, just keep a jug of water for drinking in the fridge or whatever - this way, the chlorine will have had time to disappear after filling from the tap. A filter is not really needed for anything to do with chlorine
The only way I can see chlorine being present in bath water is if the bath is fed direct from the mains under pressure. If the bath is supplied from attic tank, the chlorine will already have evaporated off at the point of filling the attic tank. Perhaps its a different chemical problem. If so, it is worth looking into.

It is also not recommended to make baby formula from bottled water, although I did one morning I was short a drop of milk for my corn flakes so I had to improvise.

Evian is divine, like springtime in a bottle.
Read this as springsteen in a bottle.
