Probably my most used app is jellysms, it allows you to send text messages from your mobile providers online free account be it vodafone, o2 or whoever. Very easy to set up and works like a charm. So if you have 200 free online texts per month you can use them through this app. There is a free version and a full version, I upgraded but didn't really get enough extra functionality to warrant the upgrade.

Azul is a decent media player. Can play most video formats.

Comic zeal is the best comic reader by a mile. I tried a few of the free ones and they were good but this just adds that bit more functionality.

Dropbox is just about the most useful tool out there.

Stanza is a great book reader but it is hard to beat iBooks especially using dropbox to get your own books up there.

Games wise: World of goo is terrific, of course Angry Birds is up there and I really like flickfootball.

I really like feddlerpro as a feedreader.

I have a fair DVD collection and used MyBoxOffice to catalog them. Particularly useful with the IPAD2 as it uses the camera to scan the barcode for easier recognition.

    Fantastic .Thanks for the alert!:)
It's a nice app and the quality is great from what I've seen.

On a different tangent Hulu have obviously picked that the app iSwifter gives international free access to their service and have put a stop to it. Hulu really are no fun.

Are there some settings changes that have to be made to get this to work? Keeps telling me there's a server error when I go to play a tv show.

There's a thread on this app here: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056252866. People are reporting that it doesn't seem to work if your with Eircom. Not sure why that would be or if it's accurate but if you're with Eircom you're not the only one experiencing issues.

I am using Eircom over wifi and having no problem . I dumped the Zyxel modem for a new one though so maybe it's a problem with the modem Eircom customers are having.

Just downloaded planetary, free, not sure if permanently free, but after a quick look all I can say is wow.. It visualises your music collection as a solar system, unbelievably cool. Each artist is represented as a star, each album of theirs is a planet orbiting it, and each song is a satellite of the albums planet, and completes one full orbit during the song length. This probably doesn't make much sense to most, but check it out, one of the best looking apps I've ever seen.

That looks really cool - some screenshots here on iTunes.

Downloaded Planetary. It looks great but it's crashed a fair few times on me. Maybe it'll get more stable in future releases.

Dungeon Hunter 2 HD. Horribly addictive (if you are a Diablo/Torchlight fan)

Pity it doesn't work with home sharing.

I don't store any music on my iPad at all.

Do you use your iPad to play music? What do you use to do so?

I'm running out of space on my 16GB iPad and the music is an obvious candidate for deletion.

Tune In Radio is decent for listening to music stations from all over the world. You can search by artist, genre, location etc.

You can record hours of iradio music too i found that very handy for listening to recently while flying.

I sure do use it for music but all my music is synced from my server to my iMac and MacBook which with home sharing on means I can access music on my iPad without needing to store it on it. If I'm traveling i have my iPhone 4 for music and if traveling with iPad I just have video on it.

Think it's the best way to utilise My media massive library (2tb).

Audiogalaxy let's you remotely acces music on your pc once it's on. Use it in work all the time. Don't know the usage over the cell network but could imagine it would eat a good bit of data

Are there any free apps that could allow me to use my iPhone as a clicker for Keynote presentations on the iPad?

Snagfilms have released an App which allows you to watch Documentaries online for free, although ad-supported. There's a decent selection too like Macheads and Supersize Me. The Website works fine in Ireland but there is no App on the Irish iTunes Store so you'll have to have a US iTunes Account to get it.

Infinity Blade is reduced to €2.39... awesome game.

Try as I might I can't this to work. Does it require a US VPN?

Ah I didn't think it would seeing as their Website works here. Apologies, a VPN must be required so.
