I wondering if those (thankfully few) numpties protesting in Dublin plan on apologising to the Queen for blowing her uncle to smithereens just a few decades ago.
not to mention destroying the tourism in that location too, which was an area heavily visited by visitors from NI / UK before the atrocity. The mayor in that county was in the news during the week for saying tourism there did not recover fully anyway.

All those protesters are lucky they have jobs that allow them to take time off work to stage their demonstrations.

Yeah, thankfully the government isn't throwing away money on frivolous Royal visits and instead putting it into job creation and education...

unfortunately people do, why do you think racism exists?

Well if it's only the bigoted racists that will see Ireland as a nation full of scumbags because of the protest then I don't know why anyone would give a shit what they think of us. The fact is that any logically minded person would not base their opinion of an entire country on just a few of its inhabitants.

No, it's better to grow the **** up and behave like adults. It's called shooting yourself in the foot to behave like morons in front of the World's media.

So invoking a democratic right to protest and express displeasure at acts insitgated by the government is acting the moron and not being grown up? Guess only kids and idiots protest. No surprise this country gets raped on a daily basis by those in charge.

people that incite and condone violence arent intelligent people.
The queen must condone violence, she obviously doesn't condemn it in her position as the Commander-in-Chief of the British Armed Forces, she must be a right thick.

The majority of people who turn out over the next few days to cause a bit of a disturbance and behave like hyperactive teenagers are going to be the same stereotypical idiots that we saw today...

They seem to think that a protest involves throwing bottles and sticks so the poster above was quite right to call them "knuckle dragging morons".

In other words, it sacrificed truth, accuracy and balance for something which suited your political views?

    I see.

It did none of the above as well you know.

Why would anyone give the likes of Eirigi the time of day?

ah yes, thats why black taxi drivers have such a good reputation around ireland, coz only extreme bigots would generalise by nationality...

All those protesters are lucky they have jobs that allow them to take time off work to stage their demonstrations.

And of course you don't have a similar comment for those who showed up to welcome the British queen, or indeed who were allowed on Joe Duffy to speak in favour of it, or who had the time to rant, in the middle of the day, against anybody who doesn't share the enthusiasm for this visit on this thread.

    Is that your bias showing?

Well the guy is talking out of his arse if he thinks the reason tourism in Sligo hasnt recovered because Mountbatten got banjod.

Plenty of other more valid reasons actually.

Sorry to ruin a good story though.

Well at least most of them wore their "good" celtic top, the home one.

You know, the one they keep for Sundays and court appearances.

If they wore their normal hanging out scrounging monday to saturday celtic jersey they would have looked like a rabble
