    Yes Nodin i believe Palestine should be allowed to protest over what they believe is the occupation of their land. I also believe Israel should be allowed protest or defend their natural and religious right to the land.

    shedweller - since you are quoting wikipedia sources,maybe you should read about Israel owning the land long before any Muslim conquests took it over

    Predalien - Fair enough, but what if that group kept throwing stones and kept coming closer and closer to your property with the intent of keeping on going? What do you then?

    They have stones not AK47s, non-lethal force by one of the best trained and equipped armies in the world should be perfectly adequate to nullify any threat faced.

    I think we all know that the IDF have absolutely no considerations for human life. They are scum, and should be treated with the contempt that they deserve.     Prediction:
    UNSC will draft a resolution condemning this incident.
    Every nation will vote in favour.
    The US will veto.
    US president Obama will later make a speech about freedom, democracy, and civilized behaviour, and condemning the likes of Libya, Syria, et al.

    (Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely appalled by the behaviour of these two nations and I of course side with the Arab Spring, but I don't accept double standards. All humans are created equal. If there are rules, they are rules for EVERY country. You can't let someone break the rules just because they're on your team.

And they believe they were promised the land by god, werther or not you share their religious view's is another matter. They are in my opinion, completly justified in what they do.

    And why are the Palestines sending their kids into battle?? For PR purposes to make Israel look like similar savages to themselves?

    Even if they did use that argument, the Philistines were there first, before the Israelites kicked them off the land, so really the land is not the Israelis its the Philistines whose descendants are inclusive of some Palestinian people.

    Nodin - I did read it and it makes some good points. However does that give Palestines the right to claim they are Muslim, but they are decendants from the jews so they have to right to occup Israel.

    i mean in fairness, israel is a democratic gem of the middle east. I have visited the country twice myself. Why do people hate them so much?

    For one thing, they aren't occupying Israel. It helps show the idea that it was "Israels first" is historical nonsense. The Palestinians were expelled from what is now the state of Israel in 1947/1948, hence the protests today.

    You're aware of the occupation and settlement of the West Bank, Arab East Jerusalem and the Golan, and the treatment of the population therein?

    I think it has something to do with the collective punishment of the Palestinian people, illegally invading Lebanon, or slaughtering peace activists in international waters, or building an illegal wall, or killing children, denying people a right to return to East Jerusalem, disenfranchising Israeli Arabs.
