I worked in supervalu once, and I have to say that he is a genius. Nevertheless I was a model employee.:D :D

You'd think people would cop that one

Shirley Temple Bar is marginally more attractive than the mingers that Angelwhore was flaming the Christina Aguilera thread(or was it the other one about women)with.

i worked in the same dunnes for years and never knew where anything was, usually i'd point in a random direction and say 4 lanes that way :p

Hey, I used to work in Dunnes!

Actually, that's a lie. I was employed by Dunnes. "Working" is really stretching the definition a bit too far.

You are dead right, this tread shows us exactly what is wrong with the country. People who are too F*cking lazy to go and look for the crisps section. Expect everyone else to do everything for them.

Working in dunnes was the best "Job" i ever had. 6 hours of fun every night...

I've another tale of rancid debouchary to add to this sordid soon-to-be collection...

    Backwards fecking country!
I was in town today, looking to by myself a nice light lttle denim jacket. Nothing fancy, just a plain black denim jacket, with no frills, spills, or lime cordail... Something I could pick up anywhere, right? Wrong!

I went to about 50 different ****ing shops today looking for one...
    Army Navy Store
    Dunnes
    Pennys
    Roches
    Topman
    River Island
    Carpenter
    Twist
    Deelys
    Ryans
    Geraties (Sp?)
    Zinc
    Mexx
    Stalls in Eyre Square
And god knows how many other places...

    OH MY!
Couldn't get it in any of 'em!
And dont anybody bother to suggest anywhere, as I've most likely looked there.

    I mean, ****ing hell!
You'd think you'd be able to get just a plain black denim jacket ANYWHERE!?!?!?!?

    ****ing backwards!

I found this out from my sis (who used to work there) and an cousin (or somthing like that that is high up in Dunnes)... They change everything around every so often to that you have to search for things and that you will pass all the stuff you did not want to buy but end up doing so in the end. **** or what?

I was on the bus the last day sitting down in one of the seats that are WAY too small for somebody of my hieght and a guy standing beside me takes of his glasses and starts clean/wiping them in his jocks. He just reached in there and pulled out a nice baby blue pair of jocks.

That might teach me to stop using the buses in galway

But I think the problem here, Elexes, is that the majority of muppets cant understand the humour and irony of calling a thread about little niggles 'Proof Of A Backwards Country'... You'd think that some of these muppet-hardened boardsters would cop on to it?

    But NOOO!?!!?

    Fecking backwards country.

    Shut up Merc, you ingrate.

Although, as Homer once said 'She's not famous, but she has a point'.
But in order for that to be relevant to you, go and put on a dress.

go to michael guineys - u can get a plain black denim jacket(just like from 1987) that washes well and last for ages for about €10 in the sale afaik.

thb. the shops in this country aren't great - better clothes in the stores on the continent for half the price.
