Missus & I have been nude in Croatia, Menorca, Formentera and the Canaries. It's no big deal, really. Does feel odd when we go to beaches some places and you can't strip off. Each to their own but nudity is the great leveller; don't matter your age or size.

As for the minority seeking some kind of thrill, that's not what it's about.

Been to Maspalomas years ago and went nude on the beach but only because I felt you had to because everybody else seemed to be.

The idea that taking all your clothes off in public is a remarkable act of liberation (and that not wanting to do it means you;re uptight or prudish) is stupid though.

Went to Spain when I was 16 and there was one at the very end of the beach. Wasn't secluded at all and some of the Supermarkets and other shops there were clothes optional ones. Was bizarre to see people walking around buying groceries bollock (or labia) naked. Getting my foreskin caught in a shopping basket was enough for me to never try it twice.

Nah, kept my speedos on and from what I can recall, didn't get any boners while on that beach. The thing is, you just get used to it and after a while don't associate sex with nudity, they become separate in the mind very fast. Would say gynecologists have the same experience, doubt they get a hard on which each examination, unless the woman is a squirter of course, but they're only human at the end of the day.

When I was a kid, all our summer holidays would be spent at nudist beaches, either on the Baltic or in Croatia.

I never really get why people here are so utterly hung up about this?

My one warning, if you go for a dip and the water is cold, there will most likely by shrinkage on the way out of the water. You may not be properly representing yourself to onlookers.

Stayed on a nudist campsite in Germany a couple of times. It is sort of liberating in that all of these people of all ages, shapes and sizes are completely comfortable in their skin, making you feel more at ease in yours. Maybe not for all the Adonois-like boardsies with perfect figures, of which most of you undoubtedly are, but for the curvier, saggier or downright misshapen among us, it's kind of nice to be able to expose some skin without feeling like a freak. I do sometimes still have flashbacks about the corpulent pensioners playing volleyball, but overall, it was a cosy experience.

I've been to a nudist beach twice, and on both occasions I wasn't told that it was one until after we got there. The first was a place called Camps Bay just south of Cape Town, the other was Dronningmølle in Denmark, on the coast north of Copenhagen. The problem with nudist beaches is that everyone can go nude; so I kept my clothes on, since there are some things no-one needs to see ... :eek:

Nudist beaches are liberating, nothing like swimming naked in the sea, so refreshing with no clothing to restrict the cock and balls.
