Does anyone know of the squads for these games,
    Fixtures are:
april 30th Connacht Ulster in Tuam and Munster Leinster in Charleville

May 7th Leinster Connacht in Donnybrook and Ulster Munster in Limavady

May 14th Leinster Ulster in Coolmine and Connacht Munster in Galway Sportsgrounds

munsters should mainly be made up of division 1 players but this hasnt been the case in recent years with last year having more players from division 2 and 3 then division 1

Excuse the ignorance, but what are the requirements to be picked? As in, from what level/age group are the players picked?

Wonder will a senior club take a look at him, usually the Limerick clubs are good at poaching/"developing" Tipperary talent.

Dont think he'll move to a senior club, family ties are too tight with thurles for that to happen id guess though barry and his older brother aidan both came on for sundays well in their AIL game against us on saturday down in cork
EDIT aidan has been dual status with the well for the whole season and barry has played 1 or 2 games

Don't follow it too closely but I didn't know players who've played senior rugby with dual status can drop back to junior status for the interpros.

apparantly, as long as they have not started more than 50% of the AIL games they are still eligible.

Leinster Juniors played and beat Greystones 49-5 in a trial game last evening. They looked good for a team that has only been together for a week or so.

I was at the Munster juniors vs south east selection in Waterford City RFC today. Munster won 26-5. Wasn't a very good performance by the Juniors, they lacked imagination in attack, they kept going back and across the field to little effect. The scrum was poor enough too although the lineout went very well.

Taking into account that this game was seen as a confidence builder for next week the coaches must be more than a little worried as they struggled to break down the defence of South-east who were made up of players mostly playing in the 3rd division of the Munster Junior league.

The Juniors have some serious pace out wide but could never create the space for the likes of Dave Joyce and Barry Kelly to do any significant damage.

Moment of the game had to be Waterford City veteran no.8 Lenny Power scoring for the South East selection after some good pick and drives around the fringes.

Typical of the Leinster Branch. All other branches have announced their Junior squads but not Leinster. As defending champions and with only 6 hours to kick off I wonder why? Are they really only interested in D4 rugby.

I doubt leinster are only interested in rugby in d4 look at the leinster youths etc and the amount of work the cdos and academy coaches put into them and youll know that leinster rugby are trying their hardest to get rid of the stupid description of leinster rugby being d4 only

Munster team announcement delayed until this evening due to doubts about the fitness of several players.Their main worries areTadgh Wright, Darragh O’Brien and Barry O’Dwyer.

How many dublin clubs did well in div 1a or 1b in the leinster league this season, theres only 1 maybe 2 in total so its not surprising theres only 1 dub in the 22

why does the late announcement of squad, mean the branch are only interested in rugby in D 4 ???

The garda club walked div 1 b lost one match all season no members in team or squad.

Also in div1 A Coolmine were 4th and Skerries were 3rd surely more than 1 player from these clubs is worthy of a place in the squad.

If they walked div1B you would think they would have 1 maybe 2 in squad but politics and where the coaches/selectors are from play a big role in picking squads like these as well as players not being interested in playing 4 or 5 games at the end of the season.
Richmond who finished 2nd behind cashel in munster junior div 1 this season and won munster div 1 last season had no one even looked at for the squad this year

Politics play a huge part in anys election process i guess
i doubt many players would not want to play for there province or adopted province if you play junior rugby its achance to really test yourself.
