If possible try and keep it to off the radar bands, if they've been nominated for an award or had a big album release chances are we've already heard them. If they've been around for years we've already heard of them. So fresh new bands please...…

Here's one and it's not an instant grab, the vocals are low but he writes a truly beautiful song and it's worth imo giving a good ear to.

The Boondalk Saints
Cleverly named after the 1999 gangster film the Boondock Saints, the Dundalk/Navan foursome released their self-titled EP in January of this year. It contains three straight-up rock tunes, with really catchy choruses. Prepare to turn the volume up to the max.

The only Irish thing I've been listening to lately is Solar Bears, which I quite enjoy. I've no idea about their status...

It's electronic stuff mixed "real"/acoustic instruments, I guess if you're into Forest Swords, Bibio... that type of thing then they're worth checking out. emm... that said, it's got a real 70's thing going on... I reckon they listened to Harmonia, it reminds me of them.

Just to be aware - the Band Promotion forum is the place to go to promote your own band. This thread is for suggesting bands that you're not members of yourself.

There's no problem with posters like mickeyfitzray above coming on to say thanks after someone's suggested their band however.

This is a band from Cork I think, i've seen them twice in Limerick and Cork. I thought they were very good, they had a serious following in Cork when i saw them with the crowd singing to nearly all there songs.

They have a myspace page and facebook page
