This is like some kind of horrible test of will power... It's sitting there waiting to be played, but I'll have to wait until this evening:(

Hope everybody enjoys it, and I'd appreciate if this thread remained spoiler free!

I will endeavour to keep it spoiler free. I will only say this is definitely a longer faire than Portal 1. Gonna try the co-op in a min.

Decrypted and fired it up before I headed out this morning.
Now I have to sit through a day in work and avoid the spoiler filled internet...

Can we all just sit here and not discuss the game? Someone start humming. What time is it?

I see the street dates been broken in Australia. Anyone know if the bricks and mortars are doing the same here? That'd be a nice surprise

Think they all should be... The update on steam this morning stated that it's available to play on Steam now and will be available in stores today iirc (I was half asleep when I read it, so could be wrong!)

Sucks if you've ordered it online!

Asked the story over on the Gamestop Facebook page. Not commented on it yet though.

Read over on BA that most websites shipped today or yesterday anyways, so they might get it before the weekend is out (depending on retailer).

Ordered it from Gamestop's website myself who should have it delivered within 1 - 2 days but I'd obviously prefer it they shipped it now instead of Thursday.

As if it's shipped Thursday, I probably won't get it til Tuesday.

Guess Valve are trying to piggy back on their player's vulnerability and need to buy everything cosmetic to look "different" in Co-op.

It's only a matter of time before they introduced "Aperture Science Weighted Storage Companion Cubes" which require special keys to unlock...

Seems like plenty of people are finishing in a couple of hours..

.. is it that easy / short?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,816 ✭✭✭TheChrisD

A combination. The way the story develops does add some length to it, but it's probably about somewhere between double and triple the length of Portal 1.

If you're really good, you could probably do it in about 4.5 hours.

Bah... I replayed Portal on Sunday and forgot how friggin' short it was.

    19 levels... 19 levels?!?!

Anyways, looking forward to this regardless.
