Do you find really thin/skinny women attractive or a turn off?

Not everyone who's thin needs willpower to maintain their size. Some of us are naturally thin & eat whatever we like.

I really hate the attitude of a lot people that all thin girls starve themselves. The "Someone give her a burger/sandwich" brigade. Some girls are genetically built that way & cannot physically change their body shape, even if they would like to be curvier/have a bit more weight on them.

I would hope you don't take some of the comments on this thread seriously. I mean, some poster referred to Kim Kardashian's ass as "disgusting" :eek:

So people are just writing things to be shocking, nothing more. The fact they don't just say they are not attracted to someone, but instead opt to call a person disgusting or a heifer shows the em, intelligence you are dealing with. So don't fret.

Fair play if you don't have to worry about keeping in shape.

But I was basing it on personal experience and that of women I know who have to put a lot of time and effort in at the gym to maintain that shape

Sorry yeah, in fairness I should have made it clear I wasn't referring to when people say they don't find very thin attractive - I was talking about the way it's acceptable to holler "Ew... she's disgusting!" in relation to thin women. I know women who are thin and hate being so thin and having e.g. no boobs, and don't starve themselves (the opposite if anything - although they probably have small appetites) but that's just the way they're built.
Probably a degree of jealousy too as, while most people probably don't want to be excessively thin, they'd prefer it to being fat.

However...

If you think photoshop jiggery-pokery doesn't happen, you are very naive, my friend. There are highly publicised examples of already slender models being made to look even slimmer in ads.

Yeah air-brushing is a reality - it's not just a myth created by jealous women. The women in magazines are already very beautiful, but they're still airbrushed in order to look absolutely flawless.

Can't stand the Dove campaign all right though.

Well, as a woman I find overweight men a turn-off, and prefer 'naturally' thin men. Thankfully, as a woman, it doesn't seem to be politically incorrect to say that. I don't like that it's now the case where we have to pretend that obese is fine and, as Dudess has rightly said, get the claws out for the skinny girls.

Everyone looks better when they are healthy, eat well (which doesn't mean a punishing diet, just smart choices and appropriate portion sizes) and can take a healthy attitude towards food - it's not a tempting devil, and it's not filling a hole. I think for women, the issue of weight and food is more conscientious because we tend to have a complicated relationship with food that, in my experience, men don't. I'm not saying men don't have body issues, or that it's only women that have that punishment/pleasure problem with food. I think that it's a problem more women can identify with though.

But it's all down to personal taste, even when everyone is at a healthy weight that suits their body and height. For example, height, weight distribution etc etc will vary among people who are all the same weight, and where one man will find the athletic, straight-up-and-down body type more attractive, another will go for a shorter, bustier girl, and another will naturally be attracted to the girl with wide hips and a round bum. We can't help what we're naturally attracted to.

So OP if you are healthy and fit and you can maintain your weight and shape, don't punish yourself. These things make you attractive. If you strive to distort your natural body type, you're just fighting yourself and will make yourself miserable. You will look miserable. I feel that if you take care of yourself and eat a good diet that isn't restrictive nor excessive, you will find the weight and shape that you naturally should be, and that is attractive, whether you be all hips, all boobs, or boyish.

I used to think Christina Hendricks boobs were all real but I've seen some recent photos where they look really odd. We women are good at judging these things.

That's definitely not true, some men care not for them and some prefer small ones. And no I'm not flat-chested and trying to talk myself up. I have ample ones. But the big boob thing is over-commercialised.

Agree with the above, more men seem into a nice ass than boobs.

I'm a size 6 and never had any complaints, I'm thin but not too skinny. I actually eat a huge amount and don't put on weight so the comments from people here that maybe skinny people should eat a sandwich are a bit ridiculous to be honest.
Even when pregnant I didn't put on weight.

If you're small framed you can be thin without being bony.

OP, I’m 5'8'' and in the past I’ve been very thin (8st) and heavier (10.5st). I found that when I was extremely thin I never got approached on nights out, yes I could wear what I wanted but no man wants a bag of bones. At the moment I’m a healthy 9st, it’s the weight my body seems to have just "settled at" without much effort, yes I’ve got as a$$ and hips but I definitely get approached much more now. You need to find that happy weight for yourself OP, stop trying to be model thin, in my opinion men don’t like it anyway.
