    I have. I was umpiring a cricket match last summer and when the captains submitted the teams sheets before the game there was a guy on one of the teams whose name was identical to mine.

    yeah, i met a guy once with the same name, he just kept thinking i was winding him up.

    anyway, now he calls me 'mini me'

    I checked facebook before, there were 12 others with my name...but they are all Chinese! Noone in Ireland!

    I have met someone once with the exact same name as me. We were both sitting in the opticians in the waiting room. The optician came out and called out my name, and two of us got up. It was the most weirdest thing to have an apointment at the same time as someone else with my name.

    In primary school out of a mixed class of 12 one had the same name as me. In secondary school a different guy that was in my year had the same name including middle name. In my second job 2 guys with same name as me one of them not one of the above guys.

    Yup... Just the once, though. And both my names are pretty typical Irish names. My namesake was about 15 years older than me, doing a job I would have killed for at the time. She was pretty cool too. Said she hadn't met too many other, urm, MrsdeWinters either.

    Yes, there was even a kid in my class at school with the same name as me. Its a really common name in the UK, although not here (there is one really famous Irish person with the same name though).

    Yes I met a guy who had the same name and same profession as me. We were both in the same place one day working. I thought it was quite funny but he seemed threatened by it for some reason.

    I have a fairly unusual name, there's only one person with the same name as me on Facebook - but unlike me that person has an open profile with bucket loads of dodgy photos - and as the only people with the same spelling of my name are related to me - I'm worried that people will look me up and find this other drunkie...


    It's not that I'm not a drunk but I prefer to keep my drunkeness private...

    I know there are friends of friends who have the same name as me, but it's not very unusual so I'm not surprised.

    A friend of mine knows there's someone out there with the same name and date of birth as her. She found out when she rang her car insurance company, had a bit of trouble with confirming addresses and stuff with them afaik.
