..same first and second name as yourself?

I havent, though i've met people with the same first name as myself and other people with the same second name but never both together.

So have you and what was it like? did you spot similarities or were they a completely different person?

not personally, but I added about 13 of them on my Facebook one day for the craic, it's a little confusing in hindsight!

I think I'm the only one of me pretty much in the world :D
I'm the only one who comes up in a google search anyway.

No need, if people would like to add their mother's maiden name and/or pets name that would be much more craic.

As far as I know, there is nobody in Ireland who shares my name. It's a German one anyway, and even over there, only 2 or 3 have it, which is quite unique, considering there are 90something million people in Germany.

I have met someone once with the exact same name as me. We were both sitting in the opticians in the waiting room. The optician came out and called out my name, and two of us got up. It was the most weirdest thing to have an apointment at the same time as someone else with my name.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,241 ✭✭✭Auldloon

In primary school out of a mixed class of 12 one had the same name as me. In secondary school a different guy that was in my year had the same name including middle name. In my second job 2 guys with same name as me one of them not one of the above guys.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,184 ✭✭✭mrsdewinter

Yup... Just the once, though. And both my names are pretty typical Irish names. My namesake was about 15 years older than me, doing a job I would have killed for at the time. She was pretty cool too. Said she hadn't met too many other, urm, MrsdeWinters either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 520 ✭✭✭dpe

Yes, there was even a kid in my class at school with the same name as me. Its a really common name in the UK, although not here (there is one really famous Irish person with the same name though).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 361 ✭✭breadandjam

Yes I met a guy who had the same name and same profession as me. We were both in the same place one day working. I thought it was quite funny but he seemed threatened by it for some reason.

I have a fairly unusual name, there's only one person with the same name as me on Facebook - but unlike me that person has an open profile with bucket loads of dodgy photos - and as the only people with the same spelling of my name are related to me - I'm worried that people will look me up and find this other drunkie...

It's not that I'm not a drunk but I prefer to keep my drunkeness private...
