Buying olympic barbell and stuff

For the last few weeks ive totally changed my diet for the better and have been reading pretty much all the time about SS and 5x5 and bodybuilding in general, but i havent been doing much exercise just with some light 5kg dumbbells. Im kind of skinnyfat, have a belly and love handles but no chest back or arm muscles and my ribs are visible under my chest, so i was thinking of doing SS or 5x5 to bulk up then lose weight after.

Thing is though id really like to work out at home and was thinking of just getting a barbell and weights and doing whatever i can with that like floor press, deadlift etc. Would i definitely need to go for a 250euro+ olympic barbell set over those 100 euro argo ones, i know they would definitely be worth it if i stuck to it im just scared id give up and lose interest and be down a lot of money. Kind of thinking out loud but is there much difference in these olympic sets in terms of quality ?
