This isn't the first time this has happened. I've seen similar stories before. If I recall correctly one previous guy like this died from blood poisoning when the skin broke grew into the chair and got infected

There was an episode of Nip/Tuck with an almost identical storyline a few years ago. Apparently it was based on a true story, pretty shocking stuff.

that was the record keeper from the 1st Blade movie with Westley "don't pay tax" Snipes.

i remember the nip/tuck episode too, not fun. pretty sure i remember the original news story from when it happened in real life previous to the nip/tuck episode that they no doubt based that on.
