    He's winning

Yeah, at being a complete loser.

    A hypersensitive, intelligent loser.

My heart goes out to him really:( I know he is successful and rich but what good is it? the poor man is demented, He had it all a great career all the money in the world but money isn't everything. I wasn't a big fan of two and a half men but it really became popular, I think Charlie's days of acting are well and truly over

    So... explain Ozzy Osbourne.

I've not been able to diagnose Ozzy with anything other than 'being great craic' :P

    He wasn't in The Godfather.

    Neither was Charlie Sheen.

    Sorry, I meant Apocalypse Now

So you can compare one drug-crazed lunatic with another but call them differently?

Yup, sure can.. and I'll tell you how!

I'll ask you to do a little comparing as well if you dont mind:

    symptoms of mania: http://www.allaboutlifechallenges.org/manic-depression-symptoms-faq.htm

    charlie sheen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5aSa4tmVNM

still dont know where Ozzy comes into to be honest

Basically Ozzy seems to be i,mmune (at least compared to "normal" people) with drugs. Charlie is going on a bender. Ozzy went on one and tried to murder his wife. I don't see the difference as to while one is a loser and one is a legend. I don't mean that as an argumentive point or anything. It's just odd to me that people can think both ends of the spectrum.

But not having to worry about money will make it marginally easier. Mental illness lands many people on the streets. Charlie at least won't have this worry.

It actually won't, at all. It would appear that way because for folk like us, money is a worry...so surely removal of that worry would make life easier but it's just not the case.

It's also worth noting that Charlie Sheen is not rich enough to be poverty proof. No one really is. If Michael Jackson can die with a 400million dollar debt then anyone can. Willie Nelson is broke, Mike Tyson and he earned about 350million from his boxing career.

A few bad business moves and a few law suits and all your money can be gone very quickly. The simple truth is right now Sheen is still living his millionaire lifestyle but he is not earning millions.

That's true. But mental illness is one of the main causal factors for ending up homeless because most of us are only a few months away from poverty if we lose our jobs. He is in a much better position than most of us and who knows what his family are doing to help him behind the scenes.

Does it matter, though? Think about it. Let's say he's really on his last legs, all it means is that he's partying his last days out and it doesn't matter to him if he dies with debt.

Its prob due to the fact Ozzy plied his trade on the heavy metal scene for years where such extreme behaviour was seen as part and parcel of the job! He carved out a niche of a career by being everyones favourite hard rockin' nutter. That said I'm almost certain the mans own mental health has been questioned a few times throughout the years.

When Sheen explodes onto a self destructive rampage from the worlds most secure sitcom job it creates quite a different and more immediate impact.

I respect them both equally, to a point. I do prefer Charlie now for his blunt honesty. I think Charlie is fine.

And another "Charlie" for that matter :p

Maybe you were thinking of Hot Shots Part Deux Platoon?

Rightly said, Its easy for us to look on celebrities as a higher privileged species but if he in fact is suffering from a manic depressive condition as I suspect then he will crash into a serious depressive episode and all that money wont matter from jack for the pains and woes of a very human condition.

But even if he has severe depression or bi-polar disorder this doesn't mean he is on his last legs. He could still live a long and happy live. I know a few people, two with severe bi-polar disorder and when they are level they are superb human beings who get a lot of **** done and make the people who know them very happy.

Alternately he may just go on, close to forever, bouncing between total Ecstasy and complete and utter misery and people will say "yeah, that's cool" because they are removed from it or worse, in their tiny minds they actually think it's cool.

I thought he was twitchy and intense due to withdrawal, and the all the 'Tiger Blood' etc. stuff was hyperbolic self-actualisation, as well as (as someone said above) not giving a **** about the media or what people think. This resulted in a realisation that all the catchphrases and outlandish statements could make him very popular (at least for a while), and people found it funny in some cases, or ironically funny in others. Hence the whole social media campaign.

With regards to him getting axed from his TV show, he clearly wasn't happy working on it. Dave Chappelle did the same thing before (as in gave up lotsa munneh) and people started talking about how he must be crazy. It's bollocks. High paying job or not, if you don't like it and you feel you can do better in terms of job satisfaction, why not leave? Sheen just did so in a blaze of glory. From what I've seen, he seems to be working pretty hard lately.

There will always be people out there who will egg on "crazy Charlie" or devour his "hilarious" exploits unfortunately. But hopefully he'll get on an even keel. I have a feeling most people would like him to get better.

Alternative he just put a nice spin on being axed. The Network have issued statements saying they had to move Charlie's sport because he was showing up to film in such a state that he couldn't even stand up and needed something to lean against. The simple fact is that because it's Hollywood you'll get two side of story that are probably both mostly bull**** though.

    Oh, I know that! :)

I just meant since a lot of people think he's essentially killing himself.

I think it's because of his excessive drug use that people thought he wasn't long for this world. I'm sure most people know depression is treatable.

He is all over the place, but I don't know why exactly. I have heard drugs mentioned a good but, but is he taken a lot or a small bit? Or is he going insane or schizophrenic, or whatever.

The reports that he didn't test positive on a drug test, and that he posted on his twitter account the LAPD looked for a gun in his house smears my understanding more. He is the 15-tonne African Elephant in the middle of this media circus.

He seems to have engineered his own contract release through a genius PR stunt, and picked up another in the process. Pure genius.

He's a woman-beating, coked-up bollox with more ego in his veins than "tiger blood" who is now playing to the crowd. He is, and for a long time has been, a tool. An absolute tool.
