How about an exchange, we'll take some of their cute petite wimmin folk off their hands and we can send over a generous supply of pig ugly colleens to help with the reconstruction and heavy lifting.

Or we could send the gob****es in exchange for some well educated, industrious folk who would be more beneficial to us in the long run?

For christ sake guys, I wish people would stop going on about Japan like its some back end of nowhere **** country that can't mind itself. Its one of the biggest economies on earth, it can solve its own problems without little old Ireland coming to the rescue.
Countries are not immune from natural disasters no matter how rich they are. Japan is fairly well ****ed at this stage to be honest

Send them a link to unitedpeople.ie and show them the abuse and exploitation that has been thrown upon us and let them know that not one FF politician will be locked up for selling the irish people to the banks. Also let them know that bankers and developers have been awarded for ruining ireland while we pick their bills. Also let them know that bertie ahern spent 220,000 euro of taxpayers money - approximately half of a celtic tiger mortgage - doing up his office. Let them know that the catholic church once ruled ireland and while in power dirty priests raped boys up their bums and were allowed to walk away free. I think the japanese will gladly and happily remain where they are.

To say that that tsunami hit the wrong country would be an understatement. Here is hoping Lisbon quakes soon and sends us that tsunami we're promised. Alternatively we could drop cowen into the ocean. his fat arse would surely cause tsunami for us and wipe this country out of all things toxic.

With the dire situation out in Ireland, banking contamination concerns possibly for decades, debt and hardship devastated villages and towns that people will never want to see again.
there are thousands of vacant houses lying idle all over the country

    Fixed that for you

Gladly go to Japan, thank you very much! :D

Don't bother sending a link to that site.
We're still waiting for an update to this thread in the Louth forum
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056149223

Even FF candidates backed out with grace, not ignored everyone and pretend they were not looking for support

If the Louth forum cannot be updated I don't think it's possible to add a new story to the site

I'd have no problem with the Japanese over here, I would however have a large problem with letting any Irish go over there to re-build anything, chances are another Earthquake will strike again, houses built here by the same cowboys have been known to collapse without any Earthquake, now add Irish engineers and typical Irish shoddy construction to an Earthquake zone and disaster will follow.

I'd have no problem relocating the likes of Bertie Ahern to their most contaminated zone, we could send him in as a human guinea pig to see what the situation was, or Brian Cowen to plug the hole in the reactor.

Lovely. Is there a competition to see who can fill their boots with the most mouth froth on here or something?

Wouldn't be unreasonable to to extend an open offer to take in a certain number of people, if it's needed and people wished to avail of it.
We could also extend a similar offer to take in some of those made homeless by the earthquake in Haiti in the not-to-distant pass, who are still living in makeshift camps.

Unitedpeople.ie contains information on how crooked FF - our ex political masters were. That site will be needed forever more espically before general elections to remind people of the abuse FF did to our nation. Unless of course you enjoy such abuse and exploitation and wish someday that they will rule us again.

Nah. I think Ilovesleep is generally acknowledged as the undisputed champion in that regard. :D
Having said that, i sometimes agree with the general tenor of his/her posts.

We weren't technically involved, but if you want to put it it that way, what about the nukes that were dropped on them?

One or two can live in my hall cupboard, it'd be easy to convert into a small bedroom.

Meanwhile in Ireland there are thousands of vacant houses lying idle all over the country that could be put to good rather than be demolished.

THe Japanese are perhaps the most genuine and industrious people on earth and I couldn't see them as a any burden on this country whatsoever, If anything they would benefit this state in showing the people here on how to get off their arses.

    I wouldn't see a problem with this.

Cool yeah and theres homeless people on the streets and theres even more now cause of the bank-of-feckland. But i think there night be a queue plus on the houses, why on earth would anyone want to live here?

    Your idea is great but..

Ireland needs a hell of a lot more immigrants.

I still don't think this country is anywhere NEAR diverse enough tbh.

I would imagine that it would be quite the gross insult to offer a Japanese citizen, who I would imagine is quite used to the technological bells and whistles that are available in Japan an apartment in a ghost estate in county Kerry.

    I completely agree.

I'd have no problem with Japanese people being given free houses in Ireland but the thing to think about is that our economy is completely f**ked so there would be no jobs for them and the last thing Ireland needs now is more people leaching off our social welfare.

In any case what would they be doing even thinking about coming to Ireland? For all Japan's problems right now they're nothing compared to ours and the Japanese are guaranteed to do a far better a job of managing their s**t than we've done at home. In fact I would go so far as to say the you can bet your ass that they will completely rebuild after the destruction of the earthquake and tsunami better and faster than any country on the planet would be capable of. I'd bet that everyone who was displaced will be living back in a sturdier, safer house within 18 months max. And finally I'll bet that they do it without any corrupt politicians taking sneaky backhanders to bend planning laws.

So as per the above quote could people stop harping on about how much trouble the Japanese are in. They're the most honest, hardworking, resilient nation on Earth, not to mention one of the strongest and most powerful economies. Let's worry about our own problems before we start trying to take on the problems of those who need our help like they need a kick in the teeth.
