    Hello there, global leftist:
    Almost every day, Israel's(...........)

    Israel=/= All Jews/Judaism. It's a state.

States who colonise outside their borders will be treated and thought of badly. There are no exceptions, save by those who approve of such things. Stop the occupation and the settlements, and be treated as a normal state. Otherwise tough titty.
Do you show the same determined disapproval towards China, Iran, Syria, Venezuela or North Korea? (...........)

You don't remember the protests against China during the lead up to the olympics, or during their PMs visit to Britain?

Iran, Syria and North Korea are al under various forms of sanctions. While Venezuela has its problems, it doesn't really belong in that list, save as some form of provocation....

    Hello there, global leftist:
Almost every day, Israel's citizens are told of more displays of hostility by you against us. Often we are informed of various boycotts imposed on Israeli goods, the cancellation of cultural events in Israel, and even attempts to boycott Israeli academia.

That article is inaccurate. Roger Waters left Pink Floyd years ago.

    Oh yes, that old chestnut.

Keeping in mind that you didn't invent half that ****, and even assuming you did, Israel is not the sole producer of any of it.

I don't need to boycott computers, I can just buy them from China.

Oh... your country produces my intel chip? Ok then, continue slaughtering innocents, my bad.

This video is a load of shíte, most examples have nothing to do with boycotting...

The Israeli isn't really making any attempt to defend his argument. Could he be an Irish person posing as an Israeli???

Went to see Mark Thomas the other night.

He had a special on the whole 'conflict' as he has just walked the around the wall that surrounds the West Bank.

Came across as a tit and if anything he made the whole thing sound trivial: kids threw stones at him and he was asked for ID, that was about it.

"China, Iran, Syria, and North Korea are just as bad as we are."

You may want to polish that argument a little.

Looks like the JIDF (Jewish Internet Defense Force) has made it's way to boards. There's an interesting article on their site "How to Stop the Boycott of Israel and Win the PR War".

And to The Israeli. If you are from Israel i would like to express my full support for your right to defend yourself ..........

As far as I recall, the whole criticism is based on the aggressive expansion into Arab East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Golan heights, not Israels right to defend itself....

I've seen the antics on a different website I frequent and it's scary. I wonder if those of other religions within Israel are as nationalistic? Besides those who are in direct conflict with the state

I'm from Tel aviv, Israel. Some people here suspect me to be a part of verious Israeli propaganda groups or whatnot.
Well, I'm just a regular person and a Student. I do serve in the military reserve force as required by law.

I can't answer to every opiniom against Israel, since it would demand a lot of time from me, and of course, I don't know everything. Politics isn't my main hobbie, but I do feel obliged to write here and there, and try to bring facts and not just my opinions.
I wrote one article of my own before and posted it here. It was a pretty balanced artical and reflected my true belives.

I admit, that criticising people that you want them to listen to you, isn't smart, but I draws attention. So I decided to post this second article, in which I agree with many parts. Especially with the fence part.

I write here, because I went on a vacation to Ireland in 2009, and I did enjoy the visit!
Also, Ireland seems to be the biggest critic of Israel in Europe, so I feel that it's important to show more sides of Israel to everyone who is intrested in.

Nice place Tel Aviv. Pretty far from the fence/barrier/wall though.

As it happens I do have a more than passing interest in the structure. However if you would like to discuss it in a sober and rational manner I'd be more than happy to do so. I think it is best to lay out a few fact regarding the Barrier at the outset.

Shin Bet have not cited the Barrier as being a cause for the reduction in attacks in Israel. It cites better security cooperation between Israel and the PA security forces and the PA's increased ability to crack down on militant activity in the West Bank.

In 2009 the head of Shin Bet told an Israeli government committee that furhter construction of the Barrier was unnecessary yet construction continues.

You have not once cited the humanitarian impact of the Barrier on Palestinians which is massive.

Extending the Barrier to the settlements around Nablus would be insane and to extend it to all settlements including the ones in the Jordan valley is just retarded.

Settlements and the Barrier where built beyond the Green line are illegal.

I know what happened over the weekend was horrific but that is no reason to suspend rationality and objectivity, especially for a Tel Aviver, that is what the nutters on both sides want and unfortunately will happen judging by the reaction to the murders and the evacuation of the outpost last week. Ironically, it is often normal Israelis that bear the brunt of settler reactions by blocking major roads and disrupting the lives of innocent people.

The barrier is clearly being created to cut up the PA land into something that can never be a contiguous country. It's a f*cking crime against humanity and anyone defending it is either biased or fking stupid.

Long been established that the irish people and it's government have criticised Israel and been opposed to the actions of their government. It's even noted here in this article. The webpage is crowded with ads and banners though so beware.
Irish elections may bring more moderate tone toward Israel
    By HERB KEINON
    02/28/2011 04:36

Alan Shatter, Ireland’s only Jewish parliamentarian and courageous friend of Israel, was re-elected is likely to win a key post in new gov't.

    Talkbacks (1)
There was cautious optimism in Jerusalem on Sunday that the dramatic victory in Irish elections Friday by the center-right Fine Gael Party could lead to a moderation of Ireland’s Mideast policies and a toning down of its strident criticism of Israel.

Riding on a wave of deep disillusion with the ruling Fianna Fail Party’s handling of the crisis that has devastated the Irish economy, the Fine Gael Party, headed by Enda Kenny, captured 75 seats of the 166-seat Dail, or Irish parliament, and is expected to govern with the Labor Party.

Alan Shatter, Ireland’s only Jewish parliamentarian and a key figure in Fine Gael, was re-elected from his South Dublin district and is likely to win a key post in the new government, perhaps as justice minister.

Shatter is considered an articulate and courageous friend of Israel, who is not afraid to speak his mind on the issue in a parliament that has been extremely critical of Israel.

Ireland is currently considered one of the least friendly countries toward Israel in the EU, alongside Sweden, Belgium and Portugal.

The assessments in Jerusalem are that the defeat of the Fianna Fail Party, which has dominated Irish politics since independence 90 years ago, could lead to a more moderate policy on Israel than in the past, and a better understating of Israel’s security concerns.

Kenny, who will likely now serve as prime minister, visited Israel and Gaza in April 2009, shortly after Operation Cast Lead. According to the assessments in Jerusalem, a government he heads will likely be a bit more balanced and less one-sidedly pro-Palestinian in its outlook than that of his predecessor, Brian Cowen.

However, the change in Ireland’s Mideast orientation was not expected to be overly dramatic, and the country was not expected– as Greece did recently – to go from being one of Israel’s harshest critics inside the EU, to being one of its close friends.

No Martin Cooper did, a Ukranian American. Maybe a technology used by the mobile phone was but he invented it.

Love how you forget to mention that the people who died were Israeli settlers on Palestinian lands. I have absolutely no sympathy for the parents that died, it's their own fault. It's terrible that the Palestinian man killed the children too, they shouldn't be held responsible for their parents selfishness.

I'm the sure the Israeli authorities will put every effort into finding the Palestinian who massacred the family. They will leave no stone unturned. Of course when it's Israeli's settlers killing Palestinians it's a whole different story and justice for the Palestinian victims isn't really all that important.

    Some facts:

The majority of the Israelis as it seems to me are against further development of the settlements, but let's face some facts:
Many of the palestinians hate Israel. Enough to comitte murders of innocents like on last friday. Currently there is no better solution, of course it's not removing it. Israel tries to be fair in allowing the Palestinians to move within their territories in the west bank and letting them work in Israel and get medical treatment. Together with that, it has to be very careful not to allow terrorists in side of Israel, or not to let them harm soldiers who are given with this sisyphic hard job 24/7.

If it would depand on me and some many others, Israel would freeze the development beyound the green line. However it's not really possible. Some of the places there have gone relatively big, and the people that live there demand forther developmnt because that the population grows.

Currently the cooporation with the palestinians in the peace proccess is pretty frozen. They don't have a strong leadership, and until they solve their internal conflict between Fatach in the east and Hamas in Gaza in the west (which is very hostile towards Israel) there won't be breakthroughs in the peace process. Therefor, the government allows them to cotinue the building. Though, everybody knows that many of the places would have to be evecuated if there will be peace agreament one day. Right now, this future seems distant.

I know that many human rights are being violated on a daily bases, but I look on the big picture, and it means: protect human lifes in all cost until you have better options.
