some Childrens fairy tales have a good moral grounding without the whole hate gays, hate people who aren't the same, slavery is grand, stone unruly children, throw your wife to mobs of rapists to protect you men guests stuff..

though most fairy tales promote a shallow view of the world...

I voted Fairy tales just because probably less people died over them and well.. the world isn't totally fked up over them either..

Fairy tales are boring. The Bible is much more fun, what with all the plagues and smiting and crucifying and whatnot...

They are both pretty creepy generally but at least most people realise that Fairytales are just that.

Star wars and the lord of the rings should be up there too tbh.

That's literally the thing that I can never get over about religion, its exactly the same as believing star wars is real. Believing in the jedi order etc etc, end of the day they're all works of man made fiction.

Believing there is more to this world, our existence and what not is one thing.

Believing in man made fiction like the bible or star wars because it makes you feel better, is an entirely different thing. The irony of a religions person calling someone who believes he's a jedi, or an elf from LOTOR, an idiot amazes me.

Christians would agree with you with a caveat, namely that they were inspired by God to do so.

I heard they were high on tiger juice at the time thou.......

Lots of wonderful things happened when people were inspired by others, very often resulting in dire consequences!

How about you include the Qur'an and the other few religious books of the world religions?

At least then you wouldn't look as if you've got an axe to grind.

I'll go with Fairy tales. I like reading Sinn Feins website.

All fairy tales are wriiten with some moral/ethical/practical lesson for the reader to take from it in mind, as are the books of the Bible. Whichever you prefer does not matter.

Do you ever miss a chance to say "Hey, look at me, i'm a Unionist"?

    Militant unionism anyone?
