It was, could have been more condescending though.

    Ill expect better next time

So a players reaction is more important in determining a red card than the actual tackle itself?

    Yeah, please tell me more.

Happened with Ronaldo too. Got a reputation for play acting and as a result ended up not getting many legitimate free kicks because of his reputation.
how come Gerrard and Rooney don't get that reputation though? Bloody Racist it is I tells ya :D

You jumped to the defence of a two bob united supporter who hasn't a clue.

I think Welbeck has found his level tbh.

No but you did question if that was the best young talent, so some others were pointed out to you.

Personally I disagree with your view of the Da Silvas. They are doing very well for defenders their age. Great going forward and showing potential as defenders. Rafael is a hot head and hopefully he loses that as he gets more experience. But it is a bit silly to just write them off with an "I don't rate them" line. Rafael has had an excellent start to his career.

Nah was jumping to the defence of some young players who have a very good chance of making it IMO. Also while you didn't ridicule the players I listed you did say "if thats the best Und can do them I'm not very worried." I was merely pointing out that the players you're slagging aren't the best young players Uts have, there just some of them.

We won't know that until he spends a few of seasons at Utd and either sinks or swims. So far he has passed all the tests put in front of him with flying colours. He has a big chance of making it, writing him off with "LOLZ" at this stage is highly premature.

Nani's known for diving, faking injuries and trying to get players sent off. He pretends to be injured so much that when he actually is, people don't believe him.

Funny how you didn't reply directly to my post.

    Likewise.

There's a difference. They might take a tumble, but Nani will roll around on the ground acting like he's been stabbed then hobble over to referee waving an imaginary card about before getting on with things as if he'd never been touched. Which he usually hasn't.

    Some interesting stats:

That is Dirk Kuyt's first hat-trick for Liverpool, and it is the first Reds' hat-trick against Manchester United since Peter Beardsley bagged a treble in September 1990 in a 4-0 win.

    and
The last time Manchester United lost two games in a row , was in the month of March 2009 . When they lost to Liverpool and then Fulham.

Finally for those of you missing the wise words of Fergie
    Heres some he said earlier.

"Normally two teams break away when you come to the end of the season - that's the way it's looking," predicted Sir Alex Ferguson.
"I think either Arsenal or ourselves will win it. It won't be easy (for Chelsea) to come back from that kind of point deficit. I said some time ago, the team that is most consistent would win the league. That is why I stress that we have to keep our momentum going and get that consistency."
Ferguson added: "It isn't impossible for Chelsea to win the league. Back in 1998, we lost a 12-point lead against Arsenal and it was the same for Newcastle when we beat them to the title."

From both the Blue half and I suppose, the Red half of London.
Thank you, thank you Liverpool - you were class!

Pity he won't have champions league football next season.

Oh well, there's always the Europa league.

Great day to be a Liverpool supporter - the team played great. It was a vital 3 points. Carragher contained Berbatov, he wasn't really in the game. Fair play to Kuyt - a hat trick against Man Utd - amazing. Suarez was a threat, kept Man Utd on the bank foot the whole came. Well done

And I have seen posts here and have had texts from pool fans justifying bad Liverpool tackles with rafaels poor tackle. When you suck lemons long enough you can't taste much else.

He's an Arsenal fan. And it's quite clear what he's up to, though not doing it very well!

Obviously this is fast forward, but I'm wondering, do yis think it would have gone in without Dirk's intervention? I think Dirk was right to put his foot on it.

Jamie's mother was seen giving him a clip around the ear today for making his nani cry.

So its ok to maul a player once they had it coming ?

I love the , at best, questionable logic being used to justify Carraghers awful tackle . .

Everything from "well the tackle by rafael" to "Nani is a diver" are beautiful reminders that further embiggans the ignorance of the fans that love nothing better blow anything that goes uniteds way out of proportion and discredit anything that goes against United with pathetic excuses . .

100% would have crossed the line if Dirk hadnt touched it

Yeah, i think it was definitely going in and it's a pity that he didn't get it in the end. But i agree, Dirk did the right thing! Great that he got a hat-trick as well!

I'm not fond of Nani's play-acting antics at all, not in the slightest tbh, but Carragher just chopped him down. No effort at the ball just hacked into Nani and was not rightfully punished for it.

He might have tried to apologise afterwards, so f***in what, whats done is done.
Now Carragher might claim "derby match emotion, getting stuck in, United games are always tough affairs blah blah blah", but he's still inexcusable.

In other words you can't and haven't a clue what your talking about.

You stated no good players could ever be loaned, I said Beckham was.

You said you didn't rate the Da Silva's, but didn't say why or any kind of reasoning.

You stated you think Welbeck has found his level even though he's probably been one of Sunderland's best players this year.

You stated i'm a two bob supporter and have done nothing to show why you think that.

Well done though, you come across as really bright and knowledgable.

It looked to be going in but Dirk was right to stick his foot onto it. Always better to make sure that it goes.

And you base this on what exactly ?

That you guys lost to West Ham 3-0 last week ?

That Wolves only beat united by only less then one goal more then Liverpool a month ago ?

That United without their first choice Central defence are better then Smalling/Brown?

That even after being a very poor united team we might still win the league ?

Please do enlighten us all as to how Liverpool "confidence" (sometimes confused as ignorance) works as I have heard this very same argument from friends who struggle to actually say anything other then "king Kenny" as if that automatically trumps logic ! !

you said that doesn't excuse Nani's persona, that was why I quoted, cheers for clearing that up. Yes he may have acted out a bit but I've seen worse from tackles with no contact and people react to pain differently.

The first bit was just a misunderstanding. I was saying that his [obnoxious] persona doesn't excuse Carra giving him a nasty tackle.

I don't believe that anybody reacts to a pain in their shin by waving their legs in the air, but I do honestly agree that neither of us could prove whether he was in pain or not.

The fact that others do worse play acting from less bad tackles though, would not excuse him if he was play acting.

when did I blame the decision on how the game went. I said it could have changed the game in one of my posts but in that same post I said that it was no excuse for United's performance, just because I'm talking about it doesn't mean I'm blaming it for how the game went.
In response to somebody saying that Liverpool deserved to win regardless of any bad decision you said this:
    Liam O wrote: »
my problem is that United could have potentially got into the game if Carragher had gone off, not that United should need to be playing against 10 men to get into the game. Rooney and Berba were a farce today.
In that post it looks like you whining about decisions.

I think you made a post somewhere else saying that Liverpool were deserved winners so this post might be misleading about what you think.

So what are you saying, it's not a pity he won't be playing champions league football next year? Why not? Because he's not good enough?

Thought he'd be a decent squad player for most teams in the competition myself.

I'd be careful, you could very well be swapping with us next year.

Do you really believe this? Really?
