Would you like to be Charlie Sheen?

I feel a bit ambivalent about the whole charlie sheen situation. On one hand I feel sorry for his family because he's obviously putting them through hell for his own selfish lifestyle. Then on the other hand I'm quite jealous of the life he gets to live, in a teenage boy fantasy lifestyle kind of way.:D

If you had the means to live life like that, would you? I'm not really sure, I think I'd be too sensible.:o

Not at all. Now, his Dad, there's a man to aspire to be like.

Ha:D He definitely deserves some credit for being able to pull it off.

I wonder was his dad all that different back in the 70's?

Course I would. If I ever had so much money that I couldn't spend it in one lifetime I'd be dead within a month from drugs.

There just aren't enough Charlie Sheen threads these days, are there?

I don't think I would like to be Charlie Sheen but I wouldn't mind the money , women & attitude he has and I don't think most people would mind either. I would say that he is largely unaware of what he has and so doesn't appreciate it as much as he should.

I'll trade places with him. I shall take his money and good looks, get over my drug problems and become....

I'd say he's an over indulged, egotistical individual who has never come to terms with adulthood, responsibility and all that it entails.

He should conduct his personal life in private; I think he'd get more respect that way.

Hmmmmm.........getting smashed off my face all day and paying women to have sex with me and calling it a "win"?

    Nope.

Newsflash Charlie, if you have mad loot, world wide fame and still need to pay for sex you are a total ****ing loser.

His Dad is no stranger to drug addiction and relapses either

Many of us have had our moments; my problem is holding them up as some kind of situation to aspire to.

Whilst I feel sorry for the man, I also feel pity towards those who big him up as legend etc.

But that's just me, old and farty with the party days long in the tooth ;)

His lifestyle wouldn't appeal to me in the slightest but God dammit you'd need a deal with the devil to be as fortunate as he has.

My opinion is that his addictions are getting the better of him and it will come to a head fairly soon.

This time next year he will either be sober, in much worse shape than he is today or dead.

Well, what other outcome is there for the guy?

To stay just the same as if he doesn't really have a problem and is in total control.

I think this is an interesting video on the mindset of someone like Charlie Sheen.

Apparently being Charlie Sheen makes your face fall off and leaves you dead with your children crying over you, so no. Would not like to be Sheen. Martin Sheen, on the other hand....

I think this quote sums up why I would never in a million years want to be Charlie Sheen.
Kristina Wandzilak, an addiction and intervention specialist, told ABC News: “This is a tragedy that is unfolding on a national stage. If this were a client in my office, somebody who had been tested clean but still had this pressured speech and this grandiose thinking, I would be calling for psychiatric care. It’s a dangerous combination to have an unwell individual and to hand them a media platform. It feeds the delusion of power and uniqueness.”

Sure I'd love to be wealthy and handsome. But I would never want to go through what he is at the minute.

He is obviously delusional but why is that important? It's only a negative from our perspective.

When he say's he's on a drug called Charlie sheen he isn't too far wrong. He has obviously fed his own delusions but why should it be something to stop. Yes it is destructive if he wanted to live the type of life everyone else is telling him he should but from his perspective he's doing the right thing so why should it matter what we think?

I know what we think is not important. My point is that he is deeply troubled whatever he may say in his rambles. It should be something to stop because it is clearly ruining his health. Look at the difference in him in his recent interviews and compared to even 18 months ago. He looks a sick man and he could end up paying a big price for it.

There is nothing positive in addiction, even if somebody is in a deluded state and thinks they are doing exactly what they want. If he hasn't drank or drugged himself to death by then, he may seriously regret the damage he is doing to his body in time to come. Even is that regret is not being able to see his kids or some other perfectly possible side effect to his lifestyle.

Does anyone else see a deeply troubled man who is going to destroy himself and the media and all this attention is enabling his public demise?

Is it anyone else's business if he wants to ruin his health? I'm including his wife and kids in that btw.
