Sorry what? What kind of job is she going for? Plenty (99% of) jobs don't require a police check. Even of the ones that do several would only disqualify you if the offence you were convicted of was a violent offence. I'm calling shenanigans on this whole operation. Shenanigans I say!

She should try lying. It's all the rage at the minute. Most C.Vs now come with free exaggeration, liberal amounts of waffle and a sprinkle of mis-information.

Holding the bags of pic a mix up off the scale was about as close as I came....parents used to always send me the shop to get the paper though and my mate would rob it and we would split the money.

This should be a lesson to her.

Next time she should take billions off the Irish people and pump it into failing banks.

She'll get away with it for sure.

I've heard there are 450,000 others in the same boat - I finally understand why so many are unemployed(penneys must have been robbed blind)

Did the job your mother apply for involve dealing with cash or valuables by any chance?

I stole chewing gum from Quinnsworth when I was about 6 coz my mam wouldn't buy them for me - didn't get caught so that's where she went wrong! Sure that's the only reason she couldn't get a job?

Not surprising, considering she would be working with old vulnerable people!

Any job that requires security clearance is going to lead to a situation where they will want to know everything about your life. They may even want to know when you last took a **** etc. Your mum could probably get 99% of regular jobs out there.

Self employment is also an option. **** the corporations.
