Coillte - seemingly a done deal

Is this in the public domain yet? or is the Public Dis-service Broadcaster shielding the populace from this (as it does)

(referencing V Brown with the PD-sB term)

    http://www.politics.ie/environment/144127-lets-keep-eye-coillte-15.html

FG vowed not to sell off Coillte so the carpet has been swiped from under them also. new Govt's prospects booby-trapped (again)

The first of many landmines left by the Soldiers of Bankruptcy.

Pravda RTE still in thrall to their (former) masters if they haven't broadcast this.

It's 100% the fault of people who keep voting for them and their ilk.

The death penalty can never be re-introduced back into Ireland as it was essentially written out of the Constitution in 2002 with the Twenty-First Amendment.

The Twenty-first Amendment was introduced by the Fianna Fáil–Progressive Democrats coalition government of Bertie Ahern.

Bertie Ahern is also the chairman of the Swiss owned company who are trying (or have already?) bought out Coillte.

Now considering the absolute treason this man has committed against our country, you would be forgiven for thinking that the Amendment to the Constitution & his actions were in some way related.

In Britain people are burning effigies of westminster over the possibility of their forests being sold, but nobody even ****ing knows what's happening here.

The 20 TDs they still ended up with is a fucking insult in itself, still proving that there are enough cretins left to vote the slimey bastards in.

appears a Geological Survey of the forested lands in question was undertaken; the report has not been released! I have kept a newspaper clipping of this somewhere..got to look for it.
    would love to obtain it.
still sick to the gills since this morning.

Just so people can get this in perspective, we are talking about common/public lands equal in size to Laois and Offaly put together. How the fcuker Aherne isn't rotting in prison is beyond me.

Kinda ironic, all the forest he has a personal share in, and all we need is one suitable tree to hang the bastard on.

Not positive, but I think it established that there may be huge deposits of oil/gas under The Bog of Allen/ Lough Allen. I feel physically sick. I have been telling about this for months. I think it's the IFF (a private company) that Aherne is Chairman of that it was being sold to.

An odd job for Bertie to get, as he could never see the wood for the trees at the best of times.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,702 ✭✭✭squod

How Ray Burke got his hands on Santry woods is still puzzling me. But Bertie has fairly put him in the poor house in terms of scale. 243 acres vs thousands of acres by Bertie. Jaysus, B B B Bertie has stolen the show on this one.

    Solution:

Burn the forests. All of them. Nothing to transfer.

Is Bertie a genius, he orchestrated the IMF to come in, Now the IMF may get us to sell our assets and Bertie pockets an astounding amount of money...
maybe he wasn't a delusional bastard at all, but a very cold and calculating one.

Let's not forget Enda Kenny/Fine Gael's part in failing to make a huge issue of this. Two cheeks of the same arse.

There was a thread about this in AH last night - it was locked as it started out as a call for people to sign an online protest petition.

However there was a very good post by another poster, Treora, on the matter, which I've edited here...

The massive one on this is not the access to the land which will be cut off for insurance purposes or the destruction of the few native trees on Coillte land. No, the big one here is the €1*(10)12 in carbon credits and more importantly carbon credit derivatives that HW will earn over the next 15 years from this amazing deal.

This is another corrib, selling the jewels at rock bottom prices. Like Browne and the British gold. All future EU manufacturing will be weighted against auctioned carbon credits. 7% of prime carbon credit land (theoretical quality of land is all that is important) will provide HW of a way of paying for pensions for generations to come.

People don't realise this, but if Ireland held that land and leased year on year those credits to the highest bidder and holding a commission on all derivatives from that land we would be about to pay off the national debt just using coillte land.

    Unbelievable how shocking this is.

Fianna Fail, led by Bertie Ahern, sold this country's soul to developers & bankers, sold our natural gas reserves off for tuppence, led us into the mess which sold us up the fucking swanny to the IMF & lost us our economic sovereignty.

Then, just as it comes to light, that there may be a glimmer of light on the horizon, he pulls the fucking rug from under our feet & runs away with the last bit of land that's worth anything to us - a piece of land that could get us out of debt & set us back up nicely for generations to come.

Bertie Ahern is is a thief, a lier and a corrupt, evil cunt who has fucked up this nation worse than anyone could ever possibly conceive that one man could do.

I used to think Charlie Haughey was bad. But Haughey looks like a complete, bumbling fucking amateur compared to Ahern.

What's really getting me is the people who voted in favour of the bail-out fraud. As M. Martin said, he's delaying the €10bn payment until there is a mandate for it. ''We'' have just given the next lot the mandate and go-ahead to defraud the nation to the tune of €80bn. Nice one.

Are people for real? Seriously, I doubt if I could find any other country that would voluntarily put up with this kind of thing.

There's a petition here if anybody wants to sign it.

Pass it on to all your friends.

This is a country I do not want to be part of any more. Im living in a horrible society. People are all too happy to roll around in exploitation and put up with abuse.

Its reported over in politics.ie that things are much worse then they are and there will be a budget in may. People will only protest when their pockets are empty. It just goes to show what kind of a greedy society we are living in. Starbelgrade wrote a great post. We have all the reasons in the world to protest but it wont ever happen - like a protest to get fcukface ahern locked up.

Jesus, I'm glad I'm insulated from this BS from the next while. It's not even surprising, the country will be wrecked for decades with this sort of backstabbing.

Bertie Ahern is Irelands God. Dont you ever forget that. Unfortunately society would love to be abused and walked all over by this cnut before they would see him hanged or locked up.

To everybody not tied down here, who are free - emigrate and leave this ignorant greedy society to live with the abuse. Dont know why im here trying to get justice. Played no part in taking down this economy nor am i going to play any part in building it up again. will be gone before the summer. To everyone left behind - you deserve all the abuse - hope theres more for ye.

Ah sure isnt right to play the system *puke*

If, now I m stressing IF someone was to dispose of such a man before he's natural expiry date would it be considered an act of patriotism??

I'll always remember my Da singing he's praises, how he was a regular guy doin he's best and fair play to him for getting what he can!! Then FF took a slice from he's wages and now he's pension. Has been very quiet since.

Bertie is the Devil and we, my good people are heading straight to hell in this country.
