    Well I've just been inspired by this site:

    She gets hideous dresses for $1 and makes them into cute wearable stuff. I don't think Ive ever seen a skanky dress that cheap in charity shops over here!

    I'm still getting used to my sewing machine so just would prefer to mess around with old stuff instead of ruining my new material!

    They used to be the main vintage shop in Dublin but I never really see anything I like when I go in there - loads of bright 70's/hippy clothes

    I love how she makes them into cute little dresses! i wish i had those skills, as most of the charity shops in my area are full of manky stuff; i miss north west London and the good quality thrift!

    Re fashionista is amazing!!! I was i little bit sad when i heard she had a boyfriend...Does anyone know where to buy a means floral shirt not like a big fat party animal shirt but like a nice dressy shirt?

    And Ted baker sells them for 160 euros....... for a shirt.No Ted.Just....no.

    Im not sure the prices are realistic enough for a smart person to buy them.

    I've said it before and I will continue to say it; retail therapy does such wonders! 3 hours wandering around town, picking up pretty bits and pieces has really lifted my mood :)

    It really isn't! I did a huge amount of online shopping in the new year when I had flu and couldn't get outside to the sales. The delivery was all nice and exciting, but it really isn't the same as carrying all the bags home and going through them then :)

    I can only really shop on asos cause I only have a laser card. And so far been very disappointed with any clothes ive bought from them, none of them fit nicely!:(

    I've heard that abou asos alright! I've only ever bought a skirt from them once, and it fit fine, but I'd be wary of buying much else from them! It's so much easier to either try stuff on first, or buy from a brand you know for sure will fit you. I miss the days when Urban Outfitters accepted laser on their website!

    I bought two asos pieces and one awear piece, awear is as bad, sometimes I take an 8 in their clothes, I am definitely not an 8!!:eek: I nought a dress in a size10 and it was massive, my asos size 12 dress was far too small, you just cant win!:p urban outfitters took laser?:(

    Annoyance of the weekend: New Look in the Jervis centre had a really nice dress yesterday, only size 8, 10 and 18 in stock. 10 wouldn't quite zip up, so wanted a 12. Was in the Square briefly today so nipped into the branch there - exact same stock, size 8, 10 and 18. It doesn't appear to be on the website either. Grrrrrrrr.

    I was on e.l.f browsing after creating an account but anytime I tried to add anything to the wishlist it wouldnt let me, it kep saying create account or sign in, even though I was already signed in and it told me so right beside it, anyone else have this problem?:( also how much is shipping? I was considering ordering some suff later today

    I did actually - contacted customer services. Turns out my activation didn't work, so I went back to the activation email, clicked the link again, and all was fine then.

    Shipping is based on number of items I think but am not certain - check their Facebook they often have free shipping codes.

    Has anyone been watching the drama' South Riding' on BBC1. It's set in Yorkshire in 1930s and the clothes worn by the main character are amazing. I was drooling over her wardrobe on last night's episode.

    I watched the first episode, loved her clothes! Esp the red suit and hat!

    Besides that though it looks really predictable and bland and I probably won't watch the rest, and I'm a period drama addict.

    Very predictable alright. You can see what's going to happen long before it does. I love the clothes, but if you are into period dramas there's a shortage of heaving bosoms in the 1930s dramas :D

    So, John Galliano suspended from Dior for his alleged anti-semitic comments. I never got to see the video as it was taken down before I got to it! Disgraceful behavior though. Natalie Portman is Jewish and the face of Dior Miss Cherie fragrance, she's come out saying she was "shocked and disgusted", and chose to wear Rodarte instead of her planned Dior by Galliano to the Oscars.

    I wonder who'll replace him! His designs were fabulous and haute couture to the max, it's unfortunate that he's gone and ****ed it all up.

    was just reading about that a few minutes ago, fairly random. He obviously didnt stop to think how much this was going to ruin his life!

    It's an awful way to end such a fantastic career, Now he will be remembered for being a racist and not his contribution to fashion ridiculous mistake. Natalie Portman has said she will not be associated with him in any way.
