I know its better not to smoke them at all but is less better than alot day to day. Ive read smoking less is worse! cant remember where but def read it somewhere anyway.

Forgot to mention it was the dumbest thing ive ever heard of!
Since ive cut down ive noticed huge benefits. the best being able to play a full 90 minutes, without having to have my arse hauled off the pitch after 60 because i cant run anymore!:D

Hi fellow galwegian, you might as well knock them on the head alltogther if you are down to a few a day, i was smoking 40 a day never had a fag out my hand, felt like **** and allways broke, read allen carrs easy way to stop smoking,
or use some niquitin patches, fags are no advantage to anyone,
i am just three months of them now and feel great and have nearly a hundred a week more cash in me poke, not bad eh.:D:D:D:D

Of course it is. The one area where science has taken a bit of a back seat is with the overhyped anti smoking crowd. Yes to flag the dangers of tobacco use was and is a good thing, but to forget science and common sense at the same time is daft. Bit irritating to boot. I know a man who smoked cigars(and didn't inhale) in college who was told by his (well known)oncologist, that his lung tumour at 78 was down to the cigars 50 years previously. Eh no. About as likely as finding fairies in your garden. Good doctor he may be, scientist he is not. There is such a thing as dosage and exposure over time. Like all poisons and carcinogens, though the latter is more complex. However it aint that complex.

Could well have something to do with it though. I agree there's little more stupid than over-stating the dangers of something (see also: drugs) because it detracts from the effect of the message. Smoking is one thing that it's hard to overstate the negative effects of but they're trying their best to do so.

You could say that about anything in fairness though....aids/swine flu/sars/the list is endless....

Not that I'm saying smoking 50 a day is recommended but I do wonder sometimes when I see heavy smokers live well into the old age and relatively young smokers and non-smokers alike dying every day of the week.

I've an uncle who smoked like a bloody chimney (used to smoke superkings) for years and he's still going strong at 80+! Although there's something a bit crazy with him in that he can just give them up whenever he feels like it! Just gets a notion to stop one day and he does for years at a time!

Another one of your helpful posts as usual ,thanks! BTW thanks for telling me I look like a retard!

I didn't say you look retarded...the people I have seen smoking them look retarded, I haven't seen you..

These cigarettes will never enable you to stop smoking completely, you will just become addicted to the electronic cigarettes instead in order to get your nicotine.

They are just a fad and will never catch on...

People who say that giving up smoking will be the hardest thing you do in your life; they have seriously easy lives. It's not easy, but it's not that hard either.
